Review on GMC Haldwani

Overall Rating
GMC Haldwani is the oldest and best government medical college of Uttarakhand. It has the best and experienced faculty in the entire state. The associated hospital STH has a very high patient inflow each day. GMC Haldwani has a large campus area with a well equipped gym, sport complex and sport ground. This college provides great clinical exposure.
 

Academics Rating
To get enrolled in this college, the student has to give NEET after completing 12th standard with PCB as main subjects. The cutoff rises every year. For the general category students, the cutoff of GMCH is above 615 out of 720.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members teaching us are doctors themselves. They have completed their MBBS and MD. They are very knowledgeable and keen in teaching. The method of teaching is clinical oriented. Green boards, projectors and PDFs are used to teach theoretical topics. For the practical topics we go to the hospital and sit in the OPD with our professors and try to diagnose various diseases.
 

Placement Rating
Each student gets an internship at a hospital.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have hostel facilities in the college. All freshers and second-year students share rooms with each other. While from the 3rd year onwards you get a single room.
 

Infrastructure Rating
GMC Haldwani has a large campus. The facilities provided in this college include mess, hostel rooms, library and sports ground. The infrastructure of this college is getting renovated. It includes a sports ground, sports complex, gym, badminton court and a table tennis court etc. A canteen is also available where you get all eatables and groceries.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life of GMC Haldwani is a new experience in itself. It has a green campus with many trees around it, giving a cool environment in the summers. They play cricket or volleyball at night and walk all around the campus. We also have various clubs like acting, dancing, music and art which are run by students.
