My experience in SDBIC

Overall Rating
Overall I had a fun experience in college as I took admission during the height of COVID it was enough for me to get the degree that I wanted. Many things that influenced my decision to get admission in this college were the easy admission process, very low fees, and easy travel access. I’d recommend this college to anyone who’s looking to get admission in a reputed college with low fees.
 

Academics Rating
I was enrolled in BSC computer science honours. To be enrolled in the course you need to pass your 12th from any reputed board and apply to this college through their official website. This program seemed like the perfect opportunity to learn more about programming.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are good but since I took admission during COVID, for the first two years our classes were scheduled online but after that it wasn't a problem anymore. Most of them have PhD and since the number of students were low in our batch it was easier for us to understand their teaching.
 

Placement Rating
There is no placement cell at our college.
 

Hostel Rating
There are no hostel facilities available in our college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is not good at all and could be improved in many ways. There is no proper ground for sports activities and the classes are not up to date. There is a college library but it doesn’t have many books or resources. Overall, it is the weakest part of the college according to me, but it's understandable as the fees are very low.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very average as the fests that are scheduled are irregular and there is no social clubs or students club available. The main downside about this college is there is no college canteen that we could get food from, so we mostly eat from outside. This part of the college should definitely be improved.

I got to meet amazing new friends, make unforgettable memories, and gained some invaluable knowledge in the process.     Shibpur Dinobundhoo College which was established in 1948 is one of the famous colleges of Howrah district. The college has been providing a lot of facilities for the meritorious students who are not able to get opportunities because of financial disability etc. since 1948. National Assessment and Accreditation Council accredited Shibpur Dinobundhoo Institution which is affiliated to Calcutta University.
