My Experience at JC BOSE YMCA

Overall Rating
One of the top government institute in Haryana for Engineering and have a very good ROI and is also one of the reputed college in the North. It was initially started in early 1980s by German company to help Indian workers to learn about automobile industries, later it was converted to an Engineering college. One can join this institute for its minimal fees.
 

Academics Rating
The Engineering course includes all the basic subjects like Math, Physics, and Chemistry. After that subjects are provided according to the requirements of the branch. One has to give JEE MAINS Exam and then apply through HSTSE counseling for admission. There are also many reservations provided to students depending on their categories.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculty members are Ph.D holders and the teacher student ratio is 1:25. As it is a government college some teachers can be very helpful and frank whereas some can be strict. But majority of teachers help students to excel in their academics. There is some junior faculty as well because there are many students in our college.
 

Placement Rating
As our institution is located near Industrial area, so many core jobs are available very easily. The average package of our college is about 5.5-6.5 LPA. Top recruiters are Accenture, Wipro, TCS and more. The placement cell helps by contacting the Alumni and forms a good connection with them.
 

Hostel Rating
There is only girl’s hostel available so far, as the campus size is very small. Boys can easily get PGs near to the college but the cost may differ according to the location.
 

Infrastructure Rating
As it is a government college all the basic facilities are provided but they aren’t up to the mark. Library, Cafeteria, Ground, Labs, Workshop etc are provided, but there is still room for improvement. Classes are not air conditioned so it is difficult to attend college during peak summers. But still there are many good developments in process.
 

Campus Rating
As the campus is only of 25 acres it is hard to enjoy within the college premises. The crowd is very diverse as there are more than 16 departments in our college. Fests are held once in a year and there are 25 active clubs in our college to make life more enjoyable for students.

    The university and placements are good as compare to other state universities. There are active clubs and societies where you can interact and network with others. If you work hard, you can easily maintain a good CGPA. By working extra hard, one can secure off campus placement in big tech companies.... Read Full Review

    My overall experience of this institution is so nice. It is not so far from my home. Its only takes 20 to 25 minutes to reach there and the reason why I choose this institution because it is semi government institution and the degree they provide has more value than any other private institutions.
