Overall Rating
NIT Srinagar is situated in Jammu & Kashmir near the banks of world famous Dal Lake and is considered one of the most beautiful campuses of the country. The weather is moderate; here it is not so hot like rest of the country. You get the fellow students from almost all of the country, so you get to see the diversity. Being an NIT you will get very good placement opportunities and also you can prepare for competitive exams. Students from NIT Srinagar have got top ranks in various competitive exams including UPSC.
 

Academics Rating
To enter NIT Srinagar like other NITs you have to qualify JEE Mains and for a particular branch you have to get a minimum rank which you can check on JOSSA website. NIT Srinagar provides various programs like B.Tech, M.Sc, MBA, and Ph.D. The overall placement is very good and placement cell is very active.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at NIT Srinagar is very well qualified with almost all of them holding Ph.Ds from reputed institutes of the country and some also from top foreign universities. Faculties have a good experience of teaching and they not only help you academically but also guide you about your future course.
 

Placement Rating
NIT Srinagar has a active placement cell which is in contact with top MNCs. They organise continuous mock interviews etc. To prepare students for the placements. Some of the top companies which visit NIT Srinagar are IBM, D.E Shaw & Co, Wipro ,Infosys, Vedanta, L&T, etc, apart from these there are also some PSUS which visit the institute like BEL,GAIL,OIL INDIA, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
NIT Srinagar provides hostel facilities for the students and the hostel fee is also affordable apart from a bed in your room. You get a LAN connection and Wi-Fi connection which works 24 hours.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is good but more needs to be done as most of the buildings are old probably constructed in 1970s. Apart from this, it has a nice ground which was recently developed and has sections for all of the games with a track. The class rooms are good with a smart board.
 

Campus Rating
Life at NIT Srinagar is very good. The environment is good. The people are friendly and it is situated at the banks of world famous Dal Lake and has many tourist spots within 10kms of range. So there is a plenty of opportunity for you to visit these places and you won’t get bored here.

  • Serene campus life
     

    Overall Rating
    First of all, the institute is very beautiful as it is situated in the best part of Kashmir. You can feel every season here. The temperature rises up to 35 degrees but can even fall to -5 degrees in winter. You can enjoy snowfall on campus along with rain and autumn. In autumn the institute turns into a movie spot as there are chinar leaves everywhere in the institute which make it so beautiful.... Read Full Review

    After my JEE Mains result, I was sure about my college. It was not much surprising, as I was mentally prepared for it. Being aware of lots of rumours and hype about Srinagar, it was really difficult to convince my parents. But still, I managed it.
