My experience at BIT Sindri is very good. We get the exposure of many technical and socio-cultural events conducted by the clubs and societies from time to time. Its placement data, strong reputation, and vast alumni network made me to choose this college for Engineering. One thing that everyone boasts here is low fees. The maximum fee paid by a General category boy is less than 2 lakh in four years (including semester, exam, mess, electricity, every little thing). For girls of any category fees are very low. But I don’t consider it as that much a big benefit because at the end if you are graduating with proper technical knowledge fees doesn’t matter. What matters is the quality of education and a progressive environment. Luckily BIT now low fees, better class infrastructure, and environment.

For students who are dreaming to be Engineers and are getting chance to come here should definitely join BIT-Sindri. It is not less than a 3rd tier NIT. Eligibility for admission is to have domicile of Jharkhand and to crack JEE Mains with good percentile. If anyone fails to get into IITs or NITs then they don't have to worry because BIT is not less than them.

Faculty members of BIT are highly qualified and highly skilled, they do have very long years of experience in teaching. They do take care of each student and provide study materials and inform us about right opportunities. Professors' teaching style is on next level, they make every concept crystal clear and also boost our confidence by giving questions to solve in the class and discuss the solution. They also conduct doubt sessions regularly. Some of the professors are very friendly too, you can share your personal problem with them they will hear you and will help you financially and emotionally.

I can tell you that we did witness an increase in the number of companies registering for placement drive this year. While Amazon & Google became the highlights in this session. Top companies such as Adani Enterprises, Aditya Birla Group, Deloitte USI, Larsen & Turbo Ltd, Samsung, Tata Steel, Tredence Analytics, Vedanta, etc. remained the key recruiters. In total, more than 800 job offers have been rolled out on campus in Core Engineering Industries, IT & IT enabled services, Manufacturing industries, Consultancy & Management organizations, and R & D laboratories.

Hostels lay the foundation of friendship in BIT. In 1st year you will be 4-5 Students in one room and you will have great bandings with each other. In 2nd year also there would be 4 Students and you would enjoy a lot together. In third year you all would have single rooms.

Huge improvement in infrastructure (I feel jealous of the coming batches because of the amenities they will enjoy). When I say infrastructure I don’t just mean new equipment in various departments but overall improvement in the college. Roads, LED street lights, Sign boards, etc. are maintained so well. Also if you visit C-51 in Civil Building (every branch does classes there one or the other semester) you will feel the standard. It is in parallel to world class institutes.

If you're a kind of student who loves parties, lavish college infrastructure, and dreamt of big and luxurious fests and events then I think this college is not for you (as I've seen till now in my 8 months journey in this college). Many colleges have already had at least one cultural fest like DJ nights, band concerts, etc. but we've had none. But we've have literary contests like extempore, essay writing, etc. We've attended seminars of some alumni which are at very good positions today. The main reason why there is so less number of fests (cultural) is because of the lack of support of administration. The administration shows little interest in these activities.
