My Genuine Review about IIT Kanpur

Overall Rating
The Overall experience is good like friends, teacher, tutors, campus life, annual fests, and club activities and in the night campus looks amazing. This college is near to my hometown and the placements of Chemical Engineering are also in the IIT Kanpur so I chose this college. And I will recommend you to do same if your hometown is near to the college and you are getting decent branch just go with it there will be no problem.
 

Academics Rating
I am from chemical department and the Chemical Engineering in IIT Kanpur is one of the best course curriculums and the knowledge provided by the professors, in India. On an average the batch strength of Chemical department every year is 110 and 50% student get internship and 80 to 85% student are placed every year from this department so if you are an average guy you will be placed easily. For entering the course you have to qualify the JEE mains and JEE Advanced then you will be able to get in to the college if your rank is good enough.
 

Faculty Rating
Mostly professors who teach us have studied from foreign universities and are well qualified and the teaching style of mostly teacher is standard like from the basic to the advanced level. They teach us from the scratch but not all the teacher because exceptions are always there.
 

Placement Rating
There is Position of Company Coordinator which is related to Student Placement office who is responsible for the student’s placements. So yes we have a placement cell named Student Placement Office which helps the student in getting the information about companies and the recruitment process through mail. But this year only 65% to 70% students were placed only.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, in the campus we have residential facilities. In IIT Kanpur in 1st year the whole batch lives in one hostel and after first year students can go to different hostels. My hostel is good in the terms of infrastructure, hostel rooms, washrooms etc., but not all the halls are good. Hostel life is very good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the academic block is like foreign university. You will feel like you are in the foreign country in the academic area because there is less number of people and it is cleaned. I can say that it has the best infrastructure in the academic area.
 

Campus Rating
As I have told you that overall campus life is good but some time you have to work harder than JEE preparation and this is true. The crowd is medium in the college. There are many clubs like Programming Club, Electronic Club, Film Club, Photo Club and other so you can join any club according to your interest. Antaragani, Techkriti and Udhhoshs these three are the main fests which are organised once a year.
