Overall Rating
I choose this college because my brother studied in this same college. He always shared many positive comments about the college. Though the college is very strict and disciplined, the passed out students had never face any problem regarding placements.
 

Academics Rating
Firstly, you should have appeared in IMU CET Entrance Test. After qualifying that you need to apply for admission through institute’s website. It will conduct an interview and based on its performance you will be selected. You must have qualified PCM with above 60% in 12th.
 

Faculty Rating
HIMT provides well-experienced captains and chief engineers as marine subject faculty. Since they are well experienced they not only teach us from the books but also from their experience and situations that they’ve faced while they were onboard on the ship. Other than that other faculties are average in their teaching.
 

Infrastructure Rating
HIMT has a good infrastructure that includes the hostel academic blocks as well as other amenities like galley, gym, etc. It has also built a new big hostel since the number students are increasing every year. HIMT not only have good infrastructure but also it is maintaining the same properly and all the accommodations are in good condition.
 

Campus Rating
HIMT focus on academics, discipline, and placements therefore, you can’t expect a good campus life in HIMT. But all the festivals and other engagement activities are conducted in a nice way. Compared to last year when I joined the college, it has changed a lot and now we are having a better campus life. But if you are a person who actually want good campus life I will suggest you to join any other college.

    The best institute to build your career and to develop your skills to the top, for that Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training is the best option. I will refer students to do B.Sc Nautical Science degree course for building their carrier.     HIMT college has a good infrastructure and also, it is IMU affiliated. The faculties here in college are very cooperative and well trained. The college has lots of entertainment factors which will help us in staying entertained throughout the course period. The college has a good placement record.... Read Full Review
