Biotechnology Course Review

Overall Rating
CGC Landran offers a Bachelors degree in Biotechnology. This college is one of the oldest colleges in Chandigarh with high placement records. The campus environment is also good. It offers a good exposure to students from different states. Various events are also conducted from time to time in which students really enjoy.
 

Academics Rating
Eligibility criterion for admission in this college for B.Sc biotechnology is that you must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks and above. Stream can be medical and non medical too. The subjects required in 10+2 for B.Sc biotechnology are physics, chemistry, and biology or maths or both. It also offers various scholarship programs for students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are really very good and supportive. They will help and guide you in every way possible. They will provide you with all the notes for exams. Teachers are very humble and kind. Teachers are always ready to help you. All the teachers are well qualified and mostly have doctorate degree.
 

Placement Rating
Placement Cell for biotechnology is not so active but students are placed with average package of 4-6 LPA. Mostly, students go for higher studies and not take the placements.
 

Hostel Rating
CGC Landran has one hostel for girls and 5 hostels for boys. Facilities in hostel are up to the mark but hostel mess food is not good. Rooms and washrooms are fine. Rooms do not have attached washrooms. AC rooms are also available.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus of CGC Landran is very big and beautiful. One can enjoy the greenery all around the campus. There are several blocks for different courses. There is a food court, too. There are many food outlets also. There is a big canteen, too. The food in the canteen is quite decent and affordable.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life in CGC Landran is entertaining. There are many events held in the campus. Freshers’ party is arranged for the freshers. There is also a 2 day event called Parivartan for which students really wait eagerly. Famous Punjabi singers are invited to that event. Various competitions and games are also held during the event.

    CGC Landran is one of the most reputed colleges of Punjab which is affiliated to the IK Gujral, Jalandhar. There are a plethora of reasons why I chose this college; the first and foremost reason is that CGC is well known for its placements at many reputed companies.     According to me. This college is quite decent one. The infrastructure is good. When you enter the college you see a lot of greenery and flowers in the college. The water supply, electricity supply, and Wi-Fi supply is good in this college. The environment of the college is good. There are canteens in the college. This delivers good food at minimal rate.
