Post Graduate Government College sector 11 Chandigarh is one of the best colleges in Chandigarh if not the best. It serves quality education at very low rate. It has one of the best structures, teaching staff as well as faculty. This college has great resources and the teaching staff makes good use of it. The teachers are very polite and intelligent. Teachers help students in academic as well as in their daily life. Every student is given a teacher as mentor he can contact anytime regarding any issue in college as well as in his personal life. Teachers take good care of students and do care about their future. Teachers guide students selflessly towards success. Post graduate Government College sector 11 Chandigarh is a land of opportunities for student in every sphere i.e. in academics as well as in sports.

There is no entrance examination or interview taken for admission. Student has to fill form on dhe.chd.gov.in. Students has to fill his personal details as well as his academic details for example mark secured in class 12th examinations and class 12th examination. After filling form students has to wait for counseling. Generally there are two to three rounds of counseling. Students are allotted college on basis of merit. The merit is based on class 12th percentage. If students are not allotted their desired college, they can reach the college and ask faculty that if any seats are vacant in their desired course. Teaching staff will help them. In this course i.e. bachelors of science non medical students have to study physics chemistry math environment and HCP (History and Culture of Punjab). Math Physics and Chemistry all have three papers. Student has to clear all three papers in order to pass the respective examination. Semester examination is held twice a year. First semester examination or odd semester examination takes place in the month of December where as second semester examination or even semester examination takes place in the month of May. Before these examination mid semester examination also is conducted by the college, which is generally one to two month before semester examinations.

Teachers are well experienced and qualified. They are nice and polite in nature and help students in overcoming every difficulty. Every classroom has a smart board and speaker so that every student can learn properly and equally. Teachers opt for new teaching style so that student can learn in effective way. This college is really discipline and strict. It does not tolerate any indiscipline in matters of study attendance and marks.

There is a placement cell in college and it help student to gain and placements. Although not many major companies come for mass recruitment.

Post Graduate Government College sector 11 Chandigarh also has hostel facility. Student can apply for hostel while filling the form. Admission in hostel is also done on the basis of merits. To continue the hostel in second and third year a student must not have any back in the course he is studying. Hostel is not very expensive. The mess food that hostel provides is really good and clean. The mess worker does care about student’s health.

The campus of this Government college is really large with canteen Nescafe and Verka Booth. The academic blocks are well ventilated. The library also offers a large variety of books and knowledge to students.

Students enjoy freedom to express themselves with teachers and other fellow students. The campus is not very crowdie as only smart and intelligent students are part of this campus. College committee organizes student interacting competition and functions for uplifting students. Their first priority is study and future of students.
