Education and College Life at IEM

Overall Rating
Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) is a great college with its all over performance. It is, in my opinion, one of the most disciplined colleges. It has a perfect day to day routine and most importantly; it helps create perfect graduate material. The campus is divided into 3 parts and is located in Sector 5 area in Kolkata.
 

Academics Rating
The academics can be described as the most looked after over here. The student are encouraged and helped to know the concepts and teachers are always available here throughout the college hours and also through chats 24/7. This helps the college to maintain a good academic record throughout. Academic wise, it has the best faculties as well.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here is student friendly and always available to answer and help students with any need necessary. They are very generous and always available for the students, may it be online or offline. There are even sessions held for feedback of the faculties from the students to the main IEM body to maintain the standard of good education.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the Placement Cell is always there to aid the students with all kinds of issues there are and throughout the placement process with its vast experience. This is one of the most important parts of a college and it is perfect in our college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college is basically divided into 3 campuses and each campus consists of a separate basketball court and well maintained buildings. The classrooms are well furnished with digital aid and perfect structured buildings. The buildings consist of libraries and laboratories as per each department and there also are main halls for announcements, honorary speeches, and competitions.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is good. Regularity of the students is seriously monitored by the college staff and thus, the college never has an empty day during the sessions. The fests are held and are some of the most popular ones in Kolkata; students from other colleges from other states come to compete in these kinds of events. The sports events are also one to look for as they are held with great popularity. There are lots of clubs and some are worldwide clubs. There are many clubs including IEEE or IET or IEI etc.

    This college is one of the oldest private institutes in the eastern India with the computer Science department being one of the first to open among other colleges as well.     Overall the college is good with good placements and faculty. All the facilities are provided with very efficient machinery. Ample of project and opportunities are provided too. Location is quite accessible from any part of the state and surrounding areas. Discipline is one the most appreciated things in our college.
