The institution has a certain appeal to it that I had decided to enroll in it. It is a very good university for students wanting to focus on their academic learning and who do not want any distractions from other activities. I had chosen this university because it was cost effective and there is a decent choice of living in the hostel. Students who are trying to enroll in the university should keep in mind that there are better universities out there but this particular university will treat you in ways that are different and will give you a sense of belonging to the Don Bosco family.

The course I enrolled in is Bachelor of Computer Application or BCA. It is a very good course that provides a healthy leeway for the future generations. Computer is the future and thus this course is very important for the future generation as new jobs will be booming in the coming years or so. My first motive for enrolling in this course was to be able to learn more about my interest which was computer and hopefully be able to find a job that can pay for my future family. The eligibility is very lenient and one can get into this course fairly easily if he/she gets above 50% in their 12th board exams.

The faculty members in the university are the friendliest human beings one can meet. There are kind and are considerate when we present our troubles to them. They are also understanding in times when someone has to attend functions or events outside of the college. Many of them have finished their Ph.D and are well versed with their works and teachings. Most of them use blackboards and smart TV provided by the college for further expanding our scope of interests.

As I am only finishing my first year, I haven't had any real time experience however, the seniors have taught us that most of them do not get placements and have to look for them outside of the university.

Yes, I stay in the hostel of the university. From the beginning, the hostel has little flaws but everything cannot be perfect. So, the toilets and bathrooms can be fairly improved as they are very old. The canteen food can also be changed as the quality of the food as of now is below average. Other facilities like bed, cupboard, etc. are all available and are the best part of the hostel. There are also places for playing badminton, basketball and volleyball.

The university comprises of 3 blocks. There are around 10 computer labs and different mechanical and engineering labs. The main building has 4 floors and there are facilities of toilet on every floor. The conference hall is on the fourth floor and the assembly hall on the ground floor. There is an auditorium which is used only for certain events. With the existence of all these facilities, I feel that the university still lacks in a lot of aspects, like they need improvement in the technology used in the labs as well as providing more sports and games related infrastructure. There are also no instruments available for the music loving students.

The campus life in the university is the best part of the university. Although there are not that many extra-curricular activities, everyone is very sociable and thus it is easier to make friends. There are different clubs in the university like the robotics, music, sports, etc. However, they mostly serve no purpose as activities involving clubs are very rarely held. Every year, the university hosts the college week called D'Vere which is the only time that clubs come together to hosts different competitions involving sports, arts, music, etc. Overall, the campus has a good atmosphere for academic focused areas but not for extra-curricular activities.
