R.A. Podar Ayurved Medical College BAMS Review By Niraj Dattatray

First of all R A Podar Ayurvedic Medical College Mumbai is one of the best medical college for BAMS in Maharashtra and India as well. Currently I am a final year student in Podar College. Overall experience is decent. You get good college campus and faculty. As it is a government college you get good exposure of patients.

RAPMC Mumbai provides only one course that is BAMS. For this course you have to qualify NEET exam. For this year the qualifying marks for general category was around 540 marks (state quota). This is a very prestigious and renowned college for Ayurveda so cutoff is on higher side always.

The main thing faculty, faculty of Podar Ayurvedic Medical College is generally post graduate BAMS professor with a huge experience of 10-15 yrs of teaching. So you don't have to worry about faculties. But there is one thing they'll not spoon feed you everything, they are just to guide you through this path. Of course they are really helpful and will solve all your queries.

This is medical college so there are no placements.

Hostel is given after 1 St year for state students. It is really basic and old.

R A Podar Ayurvedic Medical College's campus is really old Mahatma Gandhi inaugurated this college. It is still really beautiful and elegant though. It has a college building, a UG boy’s hostel, UG girl’s hostel, PG hostel, hospital building, CCRAS building (Central cancer research for Ayurveda) boys hostel contains a mess for boys and girls.

Compared to other ayurvedic medical colleges R A Podar Ayurvedic Medical College Mumbai is one of the best colleges for cultural activities and events. One of the biggest events is annual week it has many things .It is divided in days (mismatch day, group day, and bollywood day). Ganesh festival is another big event which is celebrated. Overall it is a decent college to choose for your Ayurveda journey.
