Review of Haldia Institute of Technology

Overall Rating
I gave JEE Mains and couldn't make it into any IIT/NIT then I gave WBJEE and got this college. Campus is very beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Canteen, gym, and library everything is too good. Overall, it's a good college. There are many clubs and societies which will help you in your personal growth. The experience you will get here will help you in your life to overcome challenges.
 

Academics Rating
The syllabus is very similar to other engineering colleges. There will be three class test and one end semester exam in each semester. Here the focus is more on laboratory classes rather than theory classes. Theory classes are important too but yes, labs are considered very important and teachers are very strict about that. There is no such issue of attendance but yes, you will have to attend the labs regularly.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers are very supportive, interactive, and helpful in nature. They will provide you with notes and important questions banks before exams. They are always ready to clear your doubts .You can get help from them regarding studies anytime. All of them have done B.Tech, M.Tech, and many are gold medalists too in certain fields.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a Training and Placement Cell in our college and it is helpful to a certain extent. The placements are good but yes, recession has affected the situation.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The best part about the college building is the magical four pillars and yes, it is beautiful. The overall campus is very beautiful and greenery soothes your eyes. Classes are clean and well maintained. There is a canteen and restaurant inside the campus. You can get the facility of gym if you want.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is too good. People are very chill and interactive. Annual fests are held like Prayukti and Riviera. There are many clubs in the college like dance club, music club, coding hub, IEEE, ISTE, and ACM. Annual cultural meet is held for 5 days which is no less than a fest itself. In evening, jamming sessions are held.

    I didn't get the IITs and NITs through JEE Mains Rank. So I decided to take admission through WBJEE Rank in West Bengal in which I secured 10544 Rank. Through Counselling I got Information Technology Branch in Haldia Institute of Technology. IT Branch in our college is excellent as it provides many extra opportunities for many students to exercise their tech skills. There are many Tech societies and NGOs in our college which makes our college superior.... Read Full Review

    I got admission into the ECE branch in Haldia Institute of Technology through the WBJEE rank of around 24,000. Currently I'm in the first year so the overall experience is good. I recommend this college after IEM, Heritage, and Techno main. Haldia is one of the best private colleges in West Bengal because of their infrastructure and average placement.... Read Full Review

    My experience at the institute was very good. Overall, it is a very good platform for pursuing studies and extra activities like project making, car designing, and other sports activities are also conducted. All types of activities are held in the institute; you can play cricket, football, basketball, badminton and all others indoor and outdoor games in the institute and you will get gym facility as well....
