The Atmosphere at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya

Overall Rating
It’s been around 2 years since I have been studying in Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya and I am honestly telling you the environment is so good. For someone who likes greenery and fresh air, one should surely opt to come here and pursue their education. It has among one of the finest surroundings in the recently centralised universities.
 

Academics Rating
I am from the department of political science and my department is one of the most well known departments in the whole university. Our staff members as well as professors are very friendly. The environment of the academics will help you develop holistic knowledge of your surroundings and a political science student should always be up for it.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty setting from school and university is way different. The faculty here is so friendly and understanding. They are like your friends. My faculty (political science faculty) is very good and always available to help and understand one’s problem fully and provide good and nice suggestions and solutions to that problem.
 

Placement Rating
As I am from arts background, we do not have a Placement Cell in our department like the IT cell and B.Tech, but I have heard from my friends from those departments that these placement facilities and schemes are constantly changing for betterment purposes. After the NAAC ranking, the placement will be even better.
 

Hostel Rating
I myself have lived in girls’ hostel for the larger part of my course. There are in total 6 hostels; 3 girls’ hostels and 3 boys’ hostels. In girls’ hostel, although there are some restrictions but the living standard is okay. The residential areas outside the university are easily available; there are many PGs and hostels available just outside the campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is yet to be fully developed. But recently, new department buildings have been made, for example; the department of arts and social science, department of education, department of law, and department of commerce. Some new roads have been constructed; the roads have been broadened. Old departments are getting renovated. Bird wandering zones have been made as well.
 

Campus Rating
The crowd, the fests, and the canteen are to totally die for. The school canteen offers various meals and we also have Swabhiman Thali which provides food for only 10 rs. I myself have tried the food and it is quite tasty and delicious. The newly established Amul and Nescafe also offer various food items and Amul offers the best coffee in campus.

    Overall Rating
    The thought initially that made me choose the institution when I enrolled for my undergraduate in 2020 was the faculty and the review of my seniors from school. I'm currently pursuing Masters and I'm in second year. My experience has been truly good. With minimum fee, you get good support from everywhere.     I joined GGV, Bilaspur in 2022, currently pursuing BA Political Science (honors). Initially when I joined, university felt ponderous and lacked scope for growth and administration was accustomed towards stagnant development. Recently, through CUET admissions, outpour of intellect students, research scholars and faculties have paved a way towards boosted accomplishments.
