My Perception of Gauhati Commerce College

Overall Rating
From my overall review, the college is good; the teachers and students are very helpful in nature. They also focus on co-curricular activities along with academics. They also provide hostel facilities and the infrastructure is also good. I genuinely love the college from the day I took admission.
 

Academics Rating
Academics are good, I chose B.Com (Honours) as I am from commerce background. I have passed my 12th standard from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, there is no as such eligibility criterion but you have to score good marks in your 12th standard in order to get the admission in this college, because the cutoff marks are bit higher than other colleges.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are excellent; they are very helpful in nature and they provide us study material and notes for the semester and sessional examination. All the faculty members are highly educated and qualified, and also, they solve our doubts anytime when we go and ask them about it. Overall, from my experience the faculty members are fabulous.
 

Placement Rating
Gauhati Commerce College does have a Placement Cell. Several companies come in our college to recruit the students. Our college does provide placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, our college has hostel facilities. Hostels are decent, which means not so good, but yes, decent. The ambience of the hostel is good; all students stay together and they also help each other with their work.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College infrastructure is excellent; computer labs, Placement Cell, auditorium hall, a big playground, MBA block, BBA block, B.Com block, hostel, etc. are available. For different courses, our college has different cells and overall infrastructure is excellent from my point of view. Boys’ common room and girls’ common room are also available.
 

Campus Rating
From my experience, overall college life is good; from academic activities to co-curricular activities. They also focus on students’ creative activities and not only academics. Several events are organised by the institutions in order to empower and acknowledge the students and to make them competent enough for the real world.

    Gauhati Commerce College is a well known college in North East for Commerce stream. Teaching staff is good as well as the environment is very good, it has a big parking place.     Gauhati Commerce College is the best commerce college in Assam. The teaching faculty is very experienced and it not only focuses on theoretical knowledge but also focuses on practical understanding of the student. It not only focuses on studies but also focuses on extracurricular activities of the students. AC rooms are also present. Breaks between classes are also there for convenience of students....
