Academic Courses at GNIT Kolkata

Overall Rating
Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Kolkata has a wonderful campus. Institute has a peaceful environment suited for studies and extracurricular activities. The athletic team of the institute is strong and I'm in volleyball team. Overall, academics, faculty, and infrastructure are good. If you are thinking to take admission in this institute then go for it.
 

Academics Rating
I am doing B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering. All the other courses, the institute provides like BCA, MCA, and B.Tech in CSE, ECE, ECSE, IT, FT, EE are also good. Civil Engineering course is not provided by the college. To Pursue B.Tech you need to qualify WBJEE or JEE. For CSE branch your rank should be under 20,000. After counseling, you can choose this institute.
 

Faculty Rating
Entire faculty has done Masters and PhD. They provide best guidance both in academics and in other spheres of life. Professors are highly skilled and have good experience. There are 2 Mentors in every section who take responsibility of the class and guide us in a good way. The style of teaching is good. I just love the faculty here and consider myself lucky to be taught by them.
 

Placement Rating
Though I don’t have much information about placements but I can say that the most renounced companies like Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, and Accenture come for the placement drives. The placement Cell and mentors always guide us, how to prepare for placement interviews.
 

Hostel Rating
I am a day scholar but I have heard from my friends that the hostel follows strict rules and regulations. Students need to enter hostel by sharp 9 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The institute consists of a 5 storied building. 2 Spacious lifts are available. You can use either of the lifts or stairs. There is a big Library with good collections of books, where students study in free classes. Classrooms have capacity of 60 seats.
 

Campus Rating
I'm enjoying my campus life really well at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Kolkata. I'm a volleyball player so; I have played lots of tournaments. There are many clubs like drama club, recitation club, debate club, and astro-space club for student’s extracurricular activities. There are teams in both cultural and sports sphere. Every team has two coordinators and 1 faculty. About the fest I'm assuring you GNIT Kolkata provides you the best fest. Institute also conducts a techfest.

    Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT) not only focuses on the academicals improvement of the students but also on the holistic development of each of its students.     My overall experience in my college in this one year has been good enough. Like any other student starting their college life, I was very much anxious about how it would be, whether I could fit in with the new crowd, how will I overcome with studies and coding and also have a social life.     Overall experience is good. The campus is open and has many grounds. Infrastructure is adequate. Campus is full Wi-Fi. The faculty of my department (CSE) is very helpful.     I joined Guru Nanak Institute of Technology back in 2022 as a Computer Science and Engineering student. So far, the journey has been through ups and downs.
