I chose this college due to its image and reputation in the commerce line. I am a student of commerce stream and wanted to pursue my further studies in the best commerce college of Chandigarh. Overall, the college is really good with great campus and teaching staff. Academics is the main plus point of the college. I am a student of SD school also and have done my secondary education from that school so it was an obvious decision for me to get admission in this college. If you are looking for great academic for pursuing commerce stream, you can go for this college.

The academics of the college are top notch. There are well experienced faculty members who are really supportive in terms of studies and overall learning. I am doing bachelors in business management. There was no entrance exam and the admission was based on merit. All the admission process was online and very seamless. I belong to a business family background so I thought this course will be the best choice for me.

The faculty members are also experienced and highly qualified. But there is very less focus given to practical learning. Most of the lectures are just theoretical and there is very less practical learning. I think this is a major drawback of this college. The faculty members should focus more on practical learning rather than just remembering the textbooks issued by the university.

Placements are the biggest drawback of the college. The Placement Cell is not very active and fewer companies come to recruit and select the students as compared to other private colleges and universities. For example, CGC and CU have much better placement cells. The average package of our college is 3-4 lakhs per annum. The placement cell is very bad in our college.

I have been staying in college hostel since the past 2 years. The experience of hostel is normal. The entry timing of hostel should be increased. The quality of mess food is also nice and the rooms are well equipped with windows, almirahs, and fans. There are three types of rooms in the hostel. There are two seater, three seater, and four seater rooms available. There is also a gym in the hostel.

The infrastructure is really nice with lush green campus full of trees and plants. All the functions of the college are mainly online so there is less hassle for completing any of the college work. The college app can be accessed from anywhere and all the fees can be filled from the app. The college has one main auditorium and two mini auditoriums. There is a big playground but the scenario of indoor games is poor.

Overall campus life in this college is really nice. The crowd of the college is very nice and there are various clubs which students can join according to their respective courses. The annual fest “Viraasat” is also held in the months of February and March. Other small fests and programs are also organised time to time. Students can also see the council elections and interested students can also be a part of the elections. Overall, the campus life is really nice but the main drawbacks are the placements and the indoor games facilities.
