My overall experience at SIT has been incredibly enriching and transformative. From the moment I stepped onto the campus, I was impressed by the vibrant learning environment, the diverse community, and the opportunities for personal and professional growth. One of the reasons, which was in my mind while choosing this college was definitely the reputation of the college. A friend of my dad told him about this college and that is how I came across this. As a B.Tech CSE student, I wanted not only strong academic potential in my probable college but also some practical hands on experiences that would prepare me for the real world. SIT's focus on experiential learning through workshops, seminars, and internships aligned accordingly with my requirements. Moreover, the college's emphasis on holistic development attracted me towards it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a similar environment in their college life. The exposure, friendships, discipline (if that floats your boat) and a beautiful campus is all worth it in the end.

The program I chose is B.Tech CSE. It is a highly rigorous and comprehensive course that is specifically designed in accordance to high level universities which are contemporary to SIT in order to equip the students with the knowledge and skills required in the current highly competitive scenario. You should be strong in at least two to three base subjects like mathematics, statistics, and science to get through the initial years of college, swiftly. Guest lectures are very frequently conducted here, though often ignored in reality by the students themselves. A good student will, however, make the most of these informative sessions as experienced guests always throw in some gems of knowledge that help in the long run.

Most of the faculty, especially the heads of departments are qualified with either Ph.Ds or other qualified and decorated degrees. There are experienced teachers, although the implementation of their methods might not suit every student. I find the need to go to the teachers after class to clear any doubts since there is less time within the duration of the class. Hands on experience is highly valued by the teachers and often encouraged. The teaching style might be conventional, but combined with industry relevance and latest equipment; it is more than enough for any student to excel in the program.

Yes, there is a dedicated Placement Cell that gathers as many companies for internships and placements as possible, even for students not in their final year. This is a very positive thing about this college that it will definitely help a hardworking student reach his or her potential and aim at making him industry ready by incorporating subjects such as critical thinking, creative writing, and communication skills in the first and second year of college. These subjects definitely help during placements, short tests and of course, the interview and group discussion rounds. I feel more confident than people in other colleges during times like these where heavy competition forces a student to exhibit not only their academic prowess but decent communicative skills.

Yes, there are multiple hostel buildings. Separate for boys and girls but with a common mess. The hostel is pretty decent; a maid is assigned to each room for cleanliness and the view from the hostel is breathtaking. Recreational rooms are there including pool tables, table tennis, badminton courts, and a lot more. Hostel life is more about holistic development, everlasting friendships, and incidents. The various cultural events, workshops, and the overall environment gives a promising experience of a hostel life one can only dream of.

There is a huge state-of-the-art infrastructure, surrounded by plateaus and hills of Lavale region in Pune. The campus features a well equipped library, academic blocks, separate floors for each department, and dedicated sports grounds and basketball courts. There is a ground for badminton and kabaddi as well. The buildings are designed to facilitate collaborative learning and innovation, with spacious AC labs and classrooms along with seminar halls and project rooms. The Symbiosis Hospital is at a stone throw away distance for the students of SIT in case of any medical emergency.

Campus life is definitely above average. A lot of freedom and vibrancy can be sensed while being a student at SIT. In a city like Pune, the diverse student community brings together individuals from various backgrounds, fostering cultural exchange and collaboration with a whole lot of fun. A plethora of clubs, societies, and student organisations are present to cater student interests; from cultural to sports and entrepreneurship. These clubs not only provide platforms for showcasing talents but also encourage leadership, teamwork, and organisational skills. Also, the friendships you make in this college are totally dependent on the type of person you are, since everyone comes from diverse backgrounds. There are memorable experiences one can have here, given they are open enough. The overall campus life is great.
