BHU; The Capital of Knowledge

Overall Rating
The campus of the college is very good and is full of greenery. It is Asia's largest residential college. It provides students with the opportunity to excel not only in academics but also in sports and various extracurricular activities. Various facilities like sports, library, computer centre, and open gym are provided to the students. For the ease of students, bank, post office, and police station are situated within the campus.
 

Academics Rating
My course is B.Com honours FMM which is an honours in financial market management which help us to gain real life market experience. To take admission in the college, one has to fill the CUET UG form and after result of CUET, a separate form for counselling has to be filled for taking admission in this course. For taking admission in this course, one has to give exam of accountancy, business studies, economics, and general test in CUET. The motive for enrolling in this course is to gain knowledge about the real finance world and how the mechanisms of finance work in the business industry.
 

Faculty Rating
The professors of our college are very educated and knowledgeable. They are supportive and helpful. Some of the professors do not take classes and send their scholars instead. The syllabus of the course is very outdated and some teachers teach new things about the market but some very much stick to the syllabus only. All the professors have Ph.D degree and most of them have completed their masters and Ph.D from BHU itself.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a Placement Cell in our college. Every year, many companies come to our college like Nestle, Microsoft, etc. but the rate of placement is very low; only 5 out of 100 students are getting placed and the management is least bothered about the declining rate of placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we do have residential facilities in the college. The hostel fee is low because it is funded by the government. Hostel room is very small and the accommodation is very less as compared to the strength of the students in the university. Each floor has 2 water coolers and a washroom. Each department has its own separate hostels for boys and girls.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The building of the college is very big and has many big trees and greenery around it. Every department has its own library in its block and an annexure hall, a platinum hall, an auditorium, a computer lab, and various facilities like water coolers. Benches and desks of the college are well maintained and we do have projectors to show some videos about important concepts.
 

Campus Rating
The life at the campus is very joyful because with academics, we also enjoy fests like Kashiyatra, Shristi, and Splash during various festivals. There are various societies run by the students themselves like GirlUp, Abhiudayay, Tarang , Saarang, etc. that help students to excel in various fields and find an area of interest for themselves. Students who are interested in sports can take part in various sports like cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc. The crowd of the college is very large because of the temple situated in the campus.

    As per IAS (Indian Agricultural Science), BHU is the 2nd NIRF ranking in India and 1st Agricultural university in India. Therefore, as I have to study from a best agricultural university and it is the best option.     As we all are aware that Banaras Hindu University is globally recognized university and one the prestigious university in India. The most important thing in making it so is the Academics part. As a student of Commerce department in BHU, I can tell you about my department only. Though it's not the best but I can confidently say that our faculty can easily make into top 10 institutes for Commerce students in India, especially for the B.com (Hons.).     The great legacy of the university known as Banaras Hindu University. It is one of the best University in Asia and the largest residential too. My college was Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and I chose it due to the fact that it had an excellent reputation and it had one of the most important things called a PG quota which helps a lot in future PG exams as well....
