Vishwakarma Institute of Technology is private autonomous college in Pune. The main reason why I chose this college is because of its very chill and excellent curriculum. The curriculum includes subject based on industry needs like entrepreneurship development and innovation, universal human values, creative thinking, etc. The subjects are fun to learn. VIT Pune also provides very good placements and the stats of the placements are excellent. The average salary of the CE branch is around 12.8 lakh per annum which is a very good thing. Companies like Microsoft, Nvidia, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, etc visit VIT during placements period. The main reason why I’m saying this college is the best is its timing, my college timing was only 3-4 hours (during first year). Imagine you have college only for 3-4 hours it’s the best thing. I get lot of time to invest in developing my skills and hobbies. The other best thing is the college clubs and events. There are more than 50+ clubs in the college. Every year around 5-6 flagship events are conducted by different clubs. The events are really enjoyable and full of vibe.

The academics of the college are one of the best in Maharashtra. As VIT is a private autonomous college the subjects and whole academic decisions are made on their own. The academics are very nice. The subjects which are included in curriculum are also made as per industry requirements. Every year we have to make course project for subjects that teach a lot of things to student and if the project is unique then college encourages students to get patent regarding project. Now talking about eligibility criteria, there are 2 ways to get into VIT Pune, first one is through the MH-CET examination and other way is through the JEE mains and the admission is based on the merit which means that the one who scores more will get the seat. To get Computer Engineering in VIT one will need around 99 percentile in MH-CET and 97 percentile in JEE mains (not talking about spot round). I chose the Computer Engineering as we all know nowadays this field is highly in demand and also the placements of the Computer Engineering branch were excellent.

The faculty of the college is very skilled and most of them are Ph.D holders. All teachers are highly educated in their respective fields and have a lot of experience. The teachers are very friendly in nature, I feel free to ask them any doubts and they solve all the doubts properly. Teachers pay personal attention to everyone especially during lab sessions. All classrooms are digital and every teacher teaches using projector.

The placement stats of VIT are very good. Every year around 120+ companies visit VIT during placement period. Around 1500 students appear for the placements. All the stats regarding placements are displayed on the official website of the VIT Pune. I will still mention average package branch wise. The average package of the Computer Engineering branch is around 12.2 lakh (124 placed) , Information Technology 12.52 lakh per annum (31 placed) , ENTC branch 9.61 lakh per annum ( 53 placed ) , Aids 12.83 lakh per annum( 30 placed ) , etc. you can check all details about placements on the official website of VIT Pune.

As the campus size of the VIT is very small, it is around 7 acres. Because of the small campus size there is no hostel facility inside the campus. Still VIT have arranged hostel facilities outside the college which is at distance of around 2.5 km from college.

The campus size of the college is the only thing where college lacks. As the college campus is very small the infrastructure of the college is not huge but still it is good. The facilities like library, canteen, labs, etc are there in the college. It has separate departments for every branch. The campus is very green and clean.

The campus life is very good in VIT. Personally I really enjoy going to college. The college has around 50+ clubs. Every club is unique and they do conduct activities once/twice every year. There are around 5-6 events every year. Events like Vishwa-Tech Spectra, Vishwa-Karandak, and Vishwotsav are the main and biggest events. Each event is unique in its own. Vishwa Tech Spectra is a technical event in which everyone participates competes with each other in activities like hackathon, RC racing, Robo soccer, coding challenges and more. Vishwakarandak is the most hyped event in the VIT. Everyone is so hyped and raged during this event as every department compete in sports, technical and other fun activities. Every winning department gets points on every win and the department with higher points wins the Karandak Trophy .The vibe during college events is unreal and full of fun.
