First of all I like my college because of its infrastructure. IIT Kharagpur is in 2100 acre that allows us to explore as many things inside the campus. One thing that made me to choose IIT Kharagpur as my college is its brand value. IIT Kharagpur comes in top 5 colleges of India because of that so many companies visit the college for offering job opportunities. Due to this placements of this college are more as compared to other colleges which are second tier or third tier.

My department is architecture and regional planning enrolled in its B.Arch course. For taking admission in architecture at IIT Kharagpur you will have to give three rounds of examination that include JEE Mains, JEE Advance and Architecture Aptitude Test. Architecture Aptitude Test occurs after the result declaration of JEE Advance. In architecture aptitude test question are MCQ type and some question asks you to draw the picture of something and some questions are related to Indian architecture. If you are interested in doing architecture you can definitely take admission in architecture at IIT Kharagpur.

All the faculty of my course architecture are highly educated and well qualified. In addition to this, Ph.D scholars who have an experience of more than 20 years of teaching architecture are also present in the college. All the faculty members are graduated from well renowned college of India such as NIT and IIT and their style of teaching is so much excellent. Whatever they teach is easily understandable.

Yes we have a placement cell at IIT Kharagpur called as CDC which helps in placement of student at IIT Kharagpur. Full form of CDC is career development centre. Here a minimum CGPA is required for every student to sit in the placement that is above 7 CGPA. If there is a placement cell in any college it will definitely help a lot in placement of students. In similar manner, the placement cell CDC at IIT Kharagpur also help in on campus placements of student.

Yes there are so many hostels present in IIT Kharagpur. In IIT Kharagpur hostels are called as hall of residence not hostel. There are so many hostels for boys such as LBS, Ajad, etc. and for girls there are halls such as SNVH, Mother Teresa Hall of Residence, and Sarojini Naidu Hall of Residence which are considered as a best hall of IIT Kharagpur. Hostel life is also very good at IIT Kharagpur. Generally 3 students stay in one room. The infrastructure of hostel like LBS in which I was living is quite good. All the rooms were well furnished and bathrooms were well cleaned.

If you talk about the infrastructure of IIT Kharagpur, infrastructure of building inside the IIT Kharagpur is quite good. Inside the campus all the academic building are well furnished and have fully air conditioned rooms. The institute has different auditoriums are there for different events. These auditorium are Netaji, Kalidas, Bhatnagar etc. most of the department are present inside the main building. A gymkhana is also available for the students in the campus.

Overall campus life of IIT Kharagpur is mind blowing. There are different societies and clubs for enhancing the skills of the students. If you have skills of doing comedy then there is a society called Comc. If you have skill of performing music then there is a society called Prabha. If you are willing to prepare for UPSC then there is a society called Public Policy and Governance Society which will helps you in preparing for the exam.
