A Review for Future Decisions

Overall Rating
Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya is one of the best engineering colleges in Gujarat. Also, it is the first engineering college in Gujarat. It is a reputed college and my overall experience is excellent; for learning purposes it is so great. Its library and sports facilities are very good. Also, BVM hostel is very good and excellent amenities are there.
 

Academics Rating
Academics and curriculum of the course is very good and it covers basic to advanced level of electronics where students get in depth knowledge of what exactly electronics is, especially semiconductor field growing in upcoming years. So, its course VLSI is very good for students to learn in the college and it is also embedded in field curriculum.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty in BVM is very supportive and helpful towards students; they know how to explain and prepare students for their future. Almost all faculty members are Ph.Ds and also, they are helpful in clearing doubts, providing study material and notes. Also, they help in solving mid semester exam papers and give actual understanding of subjects.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the college has a Placement Cell, and it’s very supportive. They guide students about placement activities. Placement is very good in our college, almost 100% of the students who are interested in getting placed get placement offers. Average package is 3-4 LPA and the highest is 7 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facilities in the college are very good. It is well equipped with excellent amenities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College infrastructure is well maintained and good for learning. The classrooms are very modern and have comfortable seating. Library is stocked with a wide range of books and provides a peaceful environment. There, students can easily read and it’s all for free. The campus grounds are green and well kept, offering students a pleasant outdoor space.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at our college is vibrant and very nice. Numerous clubs and organisations are there catering to various interests like NSS for social work, IEEE student chapter, IETE, and many more. Also, the annual fest is amazing and super cool. It is named Udaan; where 3 days are tremendously fun with garba night, DJ night, and finally, cultural night. The experience is so good. Here, student can enjoy, learn, and grow in these 4 years of B.Tech.

    Overall Rating
    The first major advantage of computer engineering in BVM is that it is GIA. Therefore, fee structure is very low compared to self financed colleges. Other benefit is that it is Gujarat's first engineering college, established in 1948, so the alumni network is very large.     Overall experience of my university was good enough. The Campus is not that large but it does disappoint us in terms of placements, teaching, and the overall environment. What made me choose this college was only my passion. From the beginning I had interest in construction and I am pursuing my career. Teachers are best here as they are highly experienced....     Overall Rating
    As the college is 3 tier, I can say it was average. But it can be listed in top 5 government colleges in Gujarat. It had below average placements, above average academics and not so good extracurricular activities. But what I liked most about the college was its location. It's situated at the most iconic city of the Gujarat. Vallabh Vidyanagar is best to study. Apart from that the college has its independent curriculum and course structure.... Read Full Review

    I chose this college because my merit rank was high. Admission process of this college is very easy for me because of ACPC rank is very good for this course. You should check the ACPC website for the application form and the fee structure. The admission process is very lengthy so it can possibly take 1-2 weeks to finish the application....   • BVM is among the maiden engineering colleges of India
     

    Overall Rating
    BVM turned autonomous the year I joined and a good GUJCET score will make your way through this college. The college is 70+ years old and therefore safe to say that the oldest engineering college of Gujarat in BVM. The IITs too started post BVM as it started the year we got our independence and the foundation stone was laid by none other than Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It has the maximum stream in engineering as there are as many as 11 streams and students not just from Gujarat but from pan India... Read Full Review
