Studying Bachelor of Science in SGCA has been nothing short of exceptional for me. It is the only autonomous college in Rajasthan with NAAC A+ grade. I joined the college because of its extensive curriculum and field exposure along with national and international courses and successful MoUs. SGCA is an excellent college as it instills a holistic development.

The admission is on the basis of merit. The optional subjects offered are diverse. The institution's versatility of offering diploma and skill development courses gave me an opportunity to explore other fields and up-skill myself. I gained a Diploma in Journalism which not only improved my writing and expression skills, but also helped me attain attention to detail.

The faculty members of SGCA are well qualified Ph.D holders, experienced and dedicated. They help to shape the future of their students. Mentor-mentee sessions were conducted on a regular basis to help students in their academic course, and also at individual levels. Field trips were conducted that gives an insight to the student of the opportunities available in the practical world.

Placement drives are conducted every year and successful spokespersons are invited from different industries to guide and motivate the students for their active participation. The companies visiting the college for placement drive offer an average package of 3.5 LPA to 7 LPA. Many established companies like Deutsche Bank, Allen, Appcino, RoboMQ, ICICI, Concentrix, Deloitte, Capgemini, to name a few, have participated so far.

SGCA does have residential facilities within the college premises. Although I was a day scholar, many of my friends were hostellers. As per their insights, the furnished rooms are provided on a sharing basis. The quality and versatility of the meals provided is also sufficient and appetizing.

The infrastructure is extensive, clean and well-maintained. There are different blocks for each curriculum with ICT enabled classrooms. There is a dedicated indoor stadium, a half Olympic size swimming pool, infirmary gymnasium, and a huge ground for organizing various sports and other programs. The labs and museums are well-equipped and the library is definitely rich in versatility of books available for the students.

I was a part of foreign student exchange program, wherein 80+ colleges participated. There are various clubs like dance club, drama and literature club, sports club, R&D Cell, etc. that is solely administered by students. One of the biggest hit of the college is 'Nazakat', an annual fashion show and the English and Hindi annual plays. Celebrations like 'Maintenance Day' organised to pay our gratitude towards our support staff, meanwhile regular Social Services programs with the NSS kept us grounded and be thankful for what we have and share with others.
