Life at GCOEN

Overall Rating
Overall, the institute life is nice but the campus is small in area. The college conducts various activities, fests, and other programs for student development. However, the institute makes efforts for placement opportunities for the students and as it's a government college, the fee is also less, which is about 28,315 rupees per year for general category students.
 

Academics Rating
The college provides degrees in 5 major branches; civil, electrical, mechanical, electronics and telecommunication, and computer science. For admission, your MHTCET scores will be considered. The cutoff for admission is high every year. The institute also offers masters in structural engineering. The teaching period of every semester is 3-4 months, after that you will have to appear for semester exams.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties in the institute are very nice and they are qualified enough to teach you the respective subjects. Their teaching style may vary which could not be understandable for everyone. Maximum faculties have Ph.D, leaving few which are countable on fingers. There are permanent and visiting faculties. The student to faculty ratio is a bit less but they are capable enough to handle it.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the college has a Placement Cell which always attracts various companies to the campus. However, the placement is good enough with the average package of 6 LPA and the highest being 21 LPA. The placement for electrical branch is more than any other branch here.
 

Hostel Rating
The institute provides hostel facilities but it's only on merit basis and it has very few seats. The facilities like Wi-Fi are provided.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is good; there are two academic buildings, 1st is the main building which is for 1st year students and for all four years students of 2 branches, which are civil and mechanical and another building is Annex which is for 2nd to 4th year student of 3 branches electrical, electronics and telecommunication, and computer science. Both the buildings have well equipped classrooms, lifts, and labs for respective branches.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is not too crowded all the time. One technical fest named Adhyaaya, one cultural fest named Oranz, and one sports event named Sfoorti is conducted. There are various clubs like GDSC, Institution's Innovation Council, NCC, NSS, Virina cell, Astronomy club, Drone club, Robotics club, and Coding club. All the clubs with various activities are present in the college; it’s on you to participate in them.
