Personal Experience at SICSR

Overall Rating
My experience in this college has been somewhat bitter as the exposure and campus life is very restricted. The campus is very small and the people are not of my type. The blend of IT and management made me join this course as that is the way forward in today's day and age.
 

Academics Rating
BBA-IT is a blend of both IT and management. To get into this college, you need to write the SET entrance exam and pass the interview stage. There are separate quotas for people belonging to NRI/OCI, SC/ST, etc. One should be open to doing a lot of extracurricular activities along with this course as it is a very light course.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is subpar as they lack basic teaching skills and very average speaking skills. They cannot interact with the students properly and do not clear any doubts of the students, as well. Their communication is at below par and is something the college needs to work on in the future.
 

Placement Rating
We do have a Placement Cell in my institute. Unfortunately, the percentage of students who get placed is very less every year. The selected ones walk away with very average packages of merely 3-4 lakhs a year.
 

Hostel Rating
I do not stay in Symbiosis hostel. I stay in a private PG.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is extremely poor. It is just a 7-floor building with no sports ground. Our campus life is outside the campus and we just go to the college for studies, nothing else. The buildings are very old and poor. There is a major need for improvement in infrastructure.
 

Campus Rating
The crowd is very average and tough to interact with. We did have clubs but they were taken off due to unknown reasons. The extracurricular activities are next to none in this college, so only studying is the option. We haven't had a fest in the last 10 years which is extremely disappointing.

    Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research is affiliated to SIU. I wanted to pursue BCA course in my undergraduate. I have to know about SICSR Pune, which is ranked 2nd in India.   • My Experience About the Campus Life at SICSR

    I just completed my first semester, and to be honest so far my experience has been pretty decent. I had chosen SICSR as it ranked among the top Indian Universities for BCA. I’d recommend Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research over any other private institute for BCA as the faculty is pretty good and the university is well reputed in India. Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research is well recognized internationally as well and they rank 641 in the QS world rankings.... Read Full Review

    It's a good college for students who want to pursue a career in the IT field. I've finished my 1st semester now and till date it was fun and I've learnt a lot of new stuff that has helped me a lot.     The college is good for BCA, but for BBA it’s not that great. If you’re planning to join this college thinking about infrastructure and a movie like college life, then this would be the worst place. Being a Symbiosis college, they need better infrastructure.     The college has an extremely old campus, a 7-story building, out of which 2 floors are for completely different institutes. The college provides 4 courses: BBA (IT), BCA, M.Sc and MBA (IT).
