Review of St. Thomas College of Engineering and Technology

Overall Rating
The college campus is good and it provides us a very good environment to study. I chose this college to make my dream of becoming an engineer come true. The director of this college is a good person. He is helping in all possible ways he can. But for becoming an engineer, you should have that ambition. The college faculties are great in their fields.
 

Academics Rating
I chose this college to become an engineer. The faculties here are great. The courses that the college offers are Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning engineering, Information and Technology engineering, and Computer Science Engineering. The eligibility criterion needed is about 75% in higher secondary and you should have studied 10+2.
 

Faculty Rating
I don’t have idea about other departments but in Electrical Engineering department, all the faculties are very good and helpful. They provide us the guidance we need during our course in all possible ways. They give us the practical level experience of working with electrical instruments and appliances with safety.
 

Placement Rating
The placement in this college is average. I will rate 3.5 out of 5.
 

Hostel Rating
The college doesn't have a hostel facility. But near the college, there are many mess and paying guest room facilities available for rent.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college is located at a good location; railway station, metro, and other routes and modes of transportation are easily accessible. The building is well built and well planned. The environment is very good. There is great greenery. The gardens and fields of the college are well maintained. The college has gym facility.
 

Campus Rating
The institute’s campus life is good but when we were in our 2nd year, there was only one farewell party held. But from this year, tech fests and freshers’ party are also held. Now this gives us a very good experience and the opportunities to celebrate different parties in all the different types of ways we can.

    St. Thomas College Of Engineering And Technology is a very prestigious and a very well reputed college. The atmosphere here is very good as well as the faculty. The facilities here are limited but enough good for students. This institution may be strict but it’s very well known for their successful alumni and the placements.     I took admission in this college in 2022, through WBJEE entrance exam. I took admission here in computer science and engineering branch. In my year closing cut-off of this CSE branch was closed at nearly 17000-18000 rank. I heard this college was quite good and also the transportation options to reach this college are also good for me.... Read Full Review

    This college is located in the heart of Kolkata. The college is connected with all modes of transportation. It is located in Kidderpore. I chose this college for its location and placements overview. This college has a good track record for the software branches such as CSE, IT, and AI& ML.     Overall Rating
    College faculty is decent; they are friendly and helpful. The classroom and laboratory of electrical department are decent compared to other departments especially CSE, IT, and AIML. The library has a large quantity of books but the faculty is not nice there. I haven't gone there after my 3rd semester as they take fine for keeping the book past the due date. College takes fine for low attendance as well so be attentive if you are going to enroll in this college.... Read Full Review

This college is in tier 3rd stage according to AICTE rules.
