Overall Rating
Overall, I would like to suggest that you can enroll in this college only if you have all your options closed for other government colleges, but if you even have 1 better option than this college, then you should go for that college rather than enrolling in this college.
 

Academics Rating
The academic syllabus taught is very easy and students can get good grades very easily but the companies which come here in IKGPTU main campus ask tougher questions than the ones taught in the academic syllabus. The whole syllabus of data structures has been taught in algorithms, not in a specific language.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty to student ratio in the CSE department is very low; there are very less professors in the college as compared to the number of students in the batch and only a handful of professors are permanent, the rest are from other colleges or are on contract for some time. But the professors that are permanent have good knowledge about their subjects.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our college has a Placement Cell but it is very not good. The people handling the Placement Cell are not very responsible. They don't really support the students at all.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are average; we have three hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls. I don't know much about the girls’ hostel but boys hostels are average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of IKGPTU is quite big; the campus is spread across 80 acres and the infrastructure is quite good and well managed. We have 3 academic blocks, 3 boys’ hostels, 1 main admission block, 1 very good auditorium, and 1 indoor stadium which are all quite nice. We have 2 big buildings which are under construction.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life of our college is not very nice. We have one main youth fest and other events also take place but they are not very exciting. The sports department of our college is very nice. The athletic meet is conducted every year in our college which is well managed and very exciting. Also, an inter-college sports event also takes place in our college which is also good and exciting to watch.

    So, I joined this college thinking it would be a game changer for me, in one word college is average, but it turned out to be mix of good and okay experiences. Infra wise, the place is quite decent, we have well- maintained buildings, air-conditioned classrooms and a big library (open Monday to Friday 9-5 pm). While the facilities are great, there's still room for improvement in every areas. The teachers are friendly and supportive, which can be a reason I decided to study here. All in All, it's...     My overall experience is good here. This is a state government technical university so they provide scholarships to the students and that is why I chose this college. Its admission starts after the 12th result through online counseling. The fee structure is relatively more nominal compared to other universities.     Overall my experience is going great here. This university provides a better environment for study. All teachers are good here and friendly. I'm student of 2022 batch and life is going on this campus is good till now. You should go for this college as it has many facilities like computer centres, well maintained seminar halls, a huge library, well maintained labs, and many more things.
