Honestly, the college has no strict rules of attendance, which was my main motive to choose this college as I wanted to work. Being a government college, Maharani college is well-known for its name and association with the University of Rajasthan. Yes, the degree of college applicable in all over India so you don't have to worry if you miss a few classes. The teachers are experienced and well known in their field/subject they are teaching in the college.

According to me, the academics are not something that is appropriate for someone who wants to learn about their subject and create a strong base in it. The teachers generally don't take classes. In case they do, they don't stay longer than 20 minutes, which is nothing due to the strength of students in a class. So, you are left on your own to study about your subject.

The faculty is great in terms of qualification and experience. Some of them are the best professors from University of Rajasthan who are teaching in the college. They are friendly and nice to the students, but because of the strength (100+ students in one batch) they are only able to focus on students who ask for their input. Very few professors take classes in the college on regular basis so it is really hard for us to learn from them. You can learn a lot if you are in constant touch with the faculty. They have very uncertain schedules of going to college.

The campus is vast. I would say it is a student-friendly campus with vast areas of land adorned with trees and shade for students to sit, study, and hang out. The whole campus consists of different blocks for different streams so you can experience an open and airy environment in your block. The buildings are very old but provide us with a great sense of our heritage. I personally loved it! But there are some drawbacks as well like the bathrooms are unhygienic. It becomes really hard for us to go from one class to another in such a huge building. So, the overall infrastructure has its pros and cons. You might like something and might not.

There is a diversity of students. The crowd is huge and not necessarily friendly but you can make friends if you share the same interests. There are a number of fests and club activities that take place in the campus that are very enriching and good to experience. For me, the campus life was not the best one as I rarely went to the college. But if you have regular classes and interested in participating in fests and club activities then it will provide you great exposure.
