So, before diving deep into my review, just let me tell you about myself. I was a JEE aspirant for two years of my life. I failed miserably in that exam, and after failing so badly, I was looking for private colleges around the city or around the states like Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi. So, I found out about this university from a relative, and I found out that despite of having decent fees, they provide a good entry point placement for the students. I heard that they had good placements, that's why I chose this university. I was always interested in computer science, so I chose that field. I'm in second year right now, my second year is about to end, and for now, my experience has been really good, and it's a really good campus.

Chitkara University doesn't have any specific criteria. You just have to score more than 75% in your CBSE 12th board exams and that's all for you. All you have to do is to fill a registration form on their website that costs you around 1200 to 1500 Rs. Then they'll make a call to you on the days of counselling. You just have to come on the days of counselling and they'll get you registered by paying the fee of first semester. That's all for the registration part.

For the faculty part, Chitkara University is pretty good. In the first year, I was taught from the college faculty itself and from the second year onwards, we were taught by industry experts like trainers. They are tech experts who are currently working in the industry. They are hired by the university to teach us and they give us good insights about the outer world, outer tech industry, what are the latest trending techs, and what's going on in the world and the market, as well. So, I would say the faculty is really good. They really encourage you to do innovative things like patents and get registered for your own research papers. For research and innovation purpose, I think Chitkara University is also really good.

If you are talking about placements, Chitkara University, I won't say can be compared to NITs. Obviously, comparing a private university to an NIT won't be fair. But it is really good. Like, it provides an average package of 8 LPA. Its fee for the current session, I think, is 8 LPA as well. If you're really studious and you can work hard, then that would give you an entry point of 11 LPA to 12 LPA. We get internships which start from the middle of third year. So, I would say placements are really well. Our seniors are getting placed. As far as I'm hearing from them, it's a good input. Most of the companies that visit Chitrkara University are basically startups. It's rare that we are visited by some big companies. But yes, it's a good ecosystem.

Hostels in Chitkara University are pretty restrictive. You cannot go out after 12 in the midnight and till morning 9am to 4.30pm. If you want to go outside of your hostel, you have to go in the proper uniform of our college. Yes, our college has a uniform. Another thing is if you want to go out of the campus, you need a gate pass that is approved by the warden and warden calls your parents to approve it. So, it's pretty restrictive. Parents are also not allowed inside our hostels. Hostels are really good, otherwise. The mess food is also good. It's not that bad. But, it's restrictive. You have to consider this thing.

Infrastructure-wise, the university is pretty small, but it is beautiful. Night lights during the dawn are really beautiful. Lights are really good. Infrastructure-wise, it's good. We have all the labs. Wi-Fi is available all around the campus. So, for the infrastructure part, the university is pretty good.

Campus life is, as you can see, is not very interesting. It's a crowded place. There are around 2,500 to 3,000 students in Bachelors of Engineering. So, yes, there is a lot of student crowd; a lot of young crowd. Clubs and sportarium are also there for sports. I, myself, am a part of a club. I'm the head in a club. It gathers sponsors and lets you learn soft skills for growing. Clubs are really good. Campus life, I would say, isn't that bad. But, yes, it's crowded.
