This is one of the best central institutes for someone who wants a good college but isn't able to score very high marks to secure a seat in NIT or IIT. The college boasts a huge campus filled with greenery and natural landscape. The college is situated nearly 9-10 kms from the main town but the availability of vehicles makes it very hassle free. The campus provides accommodation both for students and teachers making it wholesome. The infrastructure and facilities are top notch and provide state of the art performance. The institute is ideal for someone who wants an environment which offers ample natural beauty and also a good environment for performance. The college also has enough spacious stadiums, playgrounds, and a gym where the students can utilize their time for co-curricular activities.

Tezpur University offers courses in multiple domains starting from Engineering to Sciences and many more. The university offers B.Tech admission through JEE Mains and also institute examination. For masters, GATE exam is mandatory for selection but it also offers an opportunity to take the institute examination for admission. The institute provides brochures for all the courses it offers right after the entrances are over which makes it super simple for students to follow all the necessary information required for examination.

The institute offers top notch faculties who work to their full might to provide the best for the students. It has a good student to teacher ratio which makes it super easy for the students to be not only interactive with the teachers but also get ample mentorship. The faculties are well educated and have got education from respected institutes from all over India which proves their mettle.

To be honest the college provides decent placements. Until 2020 the college wasn’t getting many students placed and the placement ratio wasn't very high but since 2021 it has improved. Nowadays, students are also getting internship opportunities in many reputed companies which are later converted to regular jobs. Also now the PPOs are very high which makes it easy for the students to make a choice for themselves.

Hostels in Tezpur University are average I would say. The rooms are average sized and a bit small for two people. The rooms offer a bed, a table, a chair, and a cupboard. The hostels have mess facilities which provide decent food. Also the hostel offers recreational activities like indoor games (chess, carrom, table tennis). The hostels also have badminton courts just outside the hostels which helps the students to relax themselves. The hostels are allotted as per the admission of the students on a first come first serve basis. The single rooms are allotted to the batch toppers. Also the 24*7 caretaker helps the students regarding any issues they face. The hostels also have night canteens for the students. Overall, it’s a decent hostel.

The infrastructure provided by the institute is good. The labs are equipped with good technical equipments which helps the students for better research. The classrooms are also equipped with AC, projectors, and green and white boards. The tables are also steel framed which makes it easy for the students to sit. The buildings are also well maintained and good quality.

The institute being a CFI offers a lot to explore. Sparing the academic life, it is one of the best institutes where we can participate in so many fun activities. The college celebrates technical fests and also special occasions like National Science Day, PI Day, and many more. The events provide variety of activities for the students. The institute also organizes multiple technical events throughout the year for tech enthusiasts.
