Review of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, New Delhi

Overall Rating
The overall experience at the institute is quite good and satisfactory. Placement was definitely one of the main reasons why I chose this college. If you want to go with a Delhi based college then definitely you can choose this. Choosing computer science related branch is more beneficial as placement ratio is always high there.
 

Academics Rating
In IGDTUW, there are mainly 8 domains namely CSAI, CSE, IT, AIML, ECE, ECEAI, Mechanical, and Dual degree. Entry is completely JEE Mains based and if you fulfill the cutoff eligibility you get admitted into it. Also there is 85% reservation for Delhi candidates and 15% seats are for outside Delhi candidates.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty here is good but it also depends on the resonance of students with them. If a student is willing to learn then no one can stop them but if you just blame the management of course you are at loss. The course is same as that of other engineering colleges in India and the faculty members are also from respected background and qualifications. So no one can raise any question on them honestly.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a Training and Placement Cell in our college and that's the treasure we have. It is really supportive and helps students in their ongoing placement season and keeps them aware about the upcoming opportunities throughout the year.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have two hostels in our college named as Krishna and Kaveri. It's really good and the services that hostel provides is of good and satisfactory level.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure here is average and the campus size is also bit small but the location is prime. We have all the places at good connectivity here and the mode of transportation is easily accessible as we have a metro station just 5 minutes walking distance from the college. The institute has a library, digital library, and computer centre where we study and has two canteens also.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is good. Also it depends on you how much you make use of the college and the opportunities it provides. There are a lot of clubs and societies that are so engaging and good that you will learn a lot from them. Seniors are really helpful and kind. We have our annual fest Taarangana which is well known in Delhi colleges. There are a lot of activities going on always.

This university comes under government of NCT of Delhi, located in the center of Delhi near Kashmere Gate. It is women's university and offers various courses like B.Tech, BBA, MBA, MCA and M.Tech.     This university is well- known for its placements and good academic life. I've been in this university for a year now and so far it is very encouraging academically. Sometimes the academic pressure gets stressful but that happens in every university at some point. The campus is a bit small (it is also shared) but it is active and always bustling....     Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women is a dream university of many students. The highest package of placement drive 2024 was 1 CPA. I'm enrolled in MBA course. I can say that although it is recently added course (2020), the curriculum is of top quality.... Read Full Review
