Life at Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar

Overall Rating
I wanted to do MBA so, I prepared for CAT exam, and then after few interviews I got into this college. The overall experience was good; I can say it provided me a good campus life as well as good friends from different parts of the country. College festival and functions are at another level that I had never experienced before. I really enjoyed a lot while studying this MBA course.
 

Academics Rating
First, you have to appear for any management entrance exam like CAT/XAT/GMAT or XGMT (conducted by XIMB), and then if you get a good enough percentile score, you are eligible for personal interview. After cracking the interview, you get shortlisted or waitlisted. Also, it has a domicile quota; if you are from Odisha, you will get a fair chance to get into XIMB.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are Ph.D holders so they have good knowledge in their fields. Also, they know how to teach students with practical examples. 8 to 10 faculty members are allocated to particular fields like marketing, finance, strategy, etc. They are student friendly; if you have any doubts regarding their subjects or their fields they are happy to help you.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It has a good infrastructure. Recently, they made a new hostel. Also, they are improving the infrastructure in different fields like gym, mess, indoor courts, multipurpose hall, etc. At our time, it was not air conditioned but now it is. We had to travel some distance to have our meals because the mess far away from our hostel. Now they are making all it in a single hostel.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life was amazing with a variety of students. Every day you will learn something from them. Some of them were so talented; they were good in studies as well as extracurricular activities like dance, music, etc. We celebrated many festivals because of diversity. Life at night is really beautiful in the campus, you have some food places like Nescafe and other cafes in the campus, and then you can walk around the campus with your friends. It was wonderful experience.
