The institute is located in one of the best tourist spots in south India. Climate and weather are great. The cost of living is pretty low as well, if you are eligible for the government hostel, that's a benefit as well. Other private hostels are expensive. One of the drawbacks of the college is that it is tough to access. It is not connected by any railway station. I have been continuing my degree for almost a year. I am currently in my second semester. The best attraction of this college is that there is no ragging from seniors and there is very nice climate except for summers. The college is situated in Mananthavady, Wayanad. The location is full of greenery and mountains. There is a good atmosphere for studies and the college has a developing infrastructure. Even though this college is ranked last in government engineering colleges, this college provides good teaching and faculty support. Government Engineering College, Wayanad, is a very good institute run successfully by the Kerela government. The campus life is good but the lack of infrastructure is the main issue here. My overall experience at Government Engineering College, Wayanad was nice. There is a friendly atmosphere. The students and faculties are so close. I wanted to study engineering in my state, so I chose this college. Private colleges were not as affordable so I opted for a government engineering college.
