Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University BBA+LLB Review By Priyanshi Kansoriya

USLLS comes under the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University from which many other colleges are also affiliated but most of them are private institution. USLLS, on the other hand, comes under the main campus and the main campus of GGSIPU is government institution. It is the only government institution in Delhi which offers 5 year BA LLB/ BBA LLB course. There is DU but it offers only 3 year LLB programme. IP University admission process is not complex. The university used to have its own entrance exam but now the admission is done on the basis of CLAT score. First the candidate must register and fill the application form regarding admission on the official site of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and regularly check the site for the same purpose. When the CLAT scores are released based on that the candidates are chosen and the notification is released for the same. Ones you are selected, you should reach the university for verification with all the documents. The college management is excellent, students are informed on every step and whenever there is any problem you can always reach the dean. There are different offices for every issue and they manage everything efficiently.

I am doing BBA LLB and my batch is 2019-2024. The eligibility criteria for the programme is 12th and should be taking CLAT. My reason to join the course was that it offered BBA which I think is useful in future aspects as in corporate world it offers more opportunities as you get the knowledge of management as well. And law, on the other hand, is a subject which is very interesting and useful. The subjects are very interesting and you can relate with them easily. And where job is concerned, you can easily get a job in various sectors for easy. You can work under any lawyer as an intern and get the job for the same or you can work in NGOs, various firms are also there. And above all the location of college plays the main role as it is in Delhi you can go to Delhi High Court and practice there. Many students aim to do coaching which are easy to join in Delhi. Intra Moot Courts are also done in the college to prepare the students for nationals. The attendance is not much of an issue in the college.

Faculty of the college is very helping, they always have your back and are always present whenever you need them. There are different teachers for different subjects and they have their scholars working under them. We can always approach them for any issue relation to the subject. Every teacher present there is well experienced, almost every teacher is PhD. and they always treat you like their own kids. They are very knowledgeable and their teaching skills are excellent.

There is Placement cell in the University but as far as law department is concerned there are not much of choices. GGSIPU placement cell releases the internships and everything but there is particular opportunity of placement. You can take the internships from the placement cell and then develop your CV which will eventually help in getting a placement. Average Package what you can get is about 5-7 LPA but there are many students which have achieved great success. There are alumni which are now working for 20 LPA.

There are total 4 hostels inside the campus. 2 Hostel for boys and 2 for girls. First I used to be afraid of hostels but honestly GGSIPU Hostel is one of the best hostels. Every person gets their own room that is there is no sharing of rooms you get your privacy and the warden is also good. There is not much of a problem in hostel and the staff always come to clean your room. There are kitchen available for the students if they want to cook anything. There is one drawback that girls are not allowed to leave hostel after 9 p.m. whereas curfew timing for boys is 11 p.m. But overall the hostel facilities are good.

There are different department for every course and for those department different blocks are allotted for easy. I am doing BBA LLB and I go to block C so likewise there are different blocks for every course and everything is well managed. Toilets of each block are very clean the premises is well sanitised and hygienic and honestly when you enter the college it feels like you have entered in another world because there is a lot of greenery and many places to explore in the college only. There is central library for all the students of the university. Students for different courses study in same a premise which gives us more opportunities to interact with them and make connections.

IP University campus life is amazing there different clubs and societies which offer different opportunities for easy. There is natak society Aveksha, and singing society Swar, and there is Dance society as well and many more. There are various competitions held like Writing, Debating, etc. One of the main is Moot Court Competition. This is the most important competition/activity which helps you to grow as a lawyer. Teachers and seniors are always there to prepare you. Everyone in the college is very polite and friendly, they help you a lot and seniors are very helpful. Ragging is not allowed in college and seniors also don't take it. There is 3 say annual fest, ANUGOONJ, which is organised by the institute and it a lot of fun different celebrities are called and it is a lot of fun. Past year Benny Dayal was called for star night and Guri was called for Punjabi night. There are many other activities in the fest. It is very fun be a part of such celebration.
