Review of KIIT School of Computer Engineering, Bhubaneswar

Overall Rating
My experience in this university (Kalinga Institute of Technology) is very good till now. As I am a second year student and was very new to this city, the first few months were a little difficult for me to live far away from me home, from my parents. But the faculty and hostel warden are very sweet; they make us feel like we are at home and help us with everything we need. I recommend others also to come at KIIT because it is one of the best universities in India and the person who will come here will really enjoy it.
 

Academics Rating
There are many courses available in KIIT. From B.Tech, law, biotechnology, medical and polytechnic, etc. This university takes an entrance exam named KIITEE in which students have to score marks according to which they will be admitted in the university. After giving the entrance exam, according to your marks you will be given a chance to choose your desired course as preference. Entrance exam consists of english, maths, physics, and chemistry papers. Then you will be sent for a counselling round. Entrance exam is taken in five phases.
 

Faculty Rating
There are enough faculty members for each branch and they are also very knowledgeable in their respective subjects. They all hold more than 1 degree and most of the teachers are from IITs. Their teaching styles may be different but after some time, you will get used to it. They also conduct classroom activities, quizzes, etc. They are very friendly in nature and will help you will all your doubts.
 

Placement Rating
There is a Placement Training Cell available in KIIT which trains students for placements. They take classes and also frequently take tests.
 

Hostel Rating
There are hostels available for both boys and girls. As I live in girls hostel, when you first get admitted in the hostel they will provide you a bed, mattress, study table, chair, pillow, blanket, bucket, mug, and a huge almira. I live in a 3 bed non AC room which costs me 28000 rupees per semester and they also provide mess facility which costs 22500 rupees. The food is quite good, they also provide non vegetarian and vegetarian options. Hostel also has water cooler, bread toaster, induction, and a reading room.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is very beautiful; every building is made very attractive. There are different buildings for different branches. There are canteens in all the campuses. There is a sports centre having gym, badminton court, and swimming pool. There are cricket, football, hockey, athletics, and many other sports grounds. There is a good market place nearby which makes getting daily-need things easy.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very good; people interact with each other, you can enjoy with your friends in the garden, and have jamming sessions. There are different types of student clubs available which you can join and make new friends. The university also organises fests every year and small programs get organised by different branches every month where you can participate and win prizes, and certificates.

    Well till now I am impressed with this college life style. I was not expecting that much first. I was preparing for JEE but did not manage to get any good colleges with good branch so I appeared for this examination and successful managed to get branch.     KIIT is one of the best private colleges in Odisha due to its infrastructure and education model. The infrastructure here is pretty good. It consists of several campuses scattered around.     This institute provides good placements among all other private colleges. The greenery over here is awesome. The faulty members and all staff members are very kind and good in nature.     This institute is the best in many ways. The college campus is very beautiful and placement wise this college is the best. Central library of the institute is the best thing and there is a garden library which is outstanding. Teachers and staff members are very supportive.
