Review of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana

Overall Rating
It a renowned university in Punjab and has received prestigious awards for its academics, co-curricular activities, sports and other activities. Recently, national youth festival was also held in the university. The infrastructure is great and the university spreads across 4500 acres. There are spacious classes and departments. It is built beautifully.
 

Academics Rating
My course is B.Tech Food Technology. Our university also provides Masters and Ph.D in Food Technology. The eligibility is to give CET (Common Entrance Test) and ranks are given accordingly. 60 seats are there in total, 30 for general and 30 seats are reserved. Counselling is held and all the related information is available on their official website. It is an expensive course and the fee per semester is 89990₹.
 

Faculty Rating
All the teachers have done their Ph.D and have doctorates in specific fields. Smart classes are there. All courses’ books are available in the library for further study. Notes are also provided by the teachers. Presentations and everything is given during lectures.
 

Placement Rating
No, in this course there are no placements available.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are good. The fees for the hostel is minimal because it is a government institute. Some special activities are organised by students in the hostel premises. Food is given 3 times a day and snacks are given once a day at 5 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 5 big colleges in the university built separately. Campus is spread across 4500 acres. Different cafeterias are available all over the university and have reasonable prices. Different sports grounds are also there including football ground, basket ball court, hockey field, handball court, volleyball court, athletic track, and cycling velodrome.
 

Campus Rating
Youth festivals are held, giving students the opportunities to participate and showcase their talents. This year our university held National Youth Festival also. Different literary clubs are there. There is a big crowd because undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, and Ph.D, all are all available in this campus only. Different NSS camps are held and certificates are also awarded.

    PAU is the largest agricultural university in Asia. All the teachers here are Ph.D scholars; highly experienced and trained. They have written many research papers and thesis. Scholarships and financial aid is provided. Hostel services are provided. Every student gets an advisor who looks after his/her research. Field work has to be done for research.     I had chosen Punjab Agricultural University not because it was my dream but because I could not make into MBBS. Sad it is!! But it was not a bad experience. The environment is very good, well equipped infrastructure, main focus into studies and research. Proper games and everything you can find over here. A lot of courses you can find here.
