College of Vocational Studies BMS Review By Shivam Sharma

The College of Vocational Studies is located in South Campus, Delhi, which is a good social area. Since childhood, I lived in West Delhi, where studying is a bit difficult. On the other hand, they have a lot of professional courses to teach. The admission process is very convenient. Also, College of Vocational Studies is the third best college in South Campus.

I have done Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) from College of Vocational Studies. This course is completely based on teaching you management skills in every kind of field. You will learn quantitative techniques in management, finance, human resources, e-commerce, management, and much more. This course is newly started in recent years and this college has taught me really well. I had cleared DU JAT entrance exam. You must have a commerce background with mathematics or a science background with mathematics for eligibility. Based on your ranking you will get the opportunity to get an admission in this college.

All of the teachers except 2-3 were good at teaching, but they were also connected to our ideas of learning. They were very cooperative. I think they tried their best to teach there. Especially, Shipra madam was one of the best teachers. She thought of a topic for us almost in every semester. We also took classes during some free periods.

There is a society for placement in the College of Vocational Studies. With the support there, students got good placements. Due to the lockdown I could not take advantage of that society. Along with many other students, I also lived college life at home.

College of Vocational Studies has no hostels but PGs are there in the neighbourhood. Rent charged for living there is affordable.

When I was doing my course, there were two buildings. One was an old building and the other was a new building. The community hall was inside the old building. There was a campus mess with a good food menu. Really big playground and net for practice. Dance area with attached speakers, gym area, and individual space for both girls and boys.

I was really happy living that short but blissful campus life. The lockdown was a nightmare for us as we were never able to gather in college again. Our senior students were amazingly supportive of us. They helped me with admission, provided notes, cricket trials, etc. There was a three-day festival which I fully participated in because it was so much fun. I also got a chance to participate in an event with my classmate Manisha. She did a really good dance performance which was liked by all students and staff. I also played a tennis ball tournament before lockdown.
