I chose IIITN because of the various reasons listed here: 1. I did not get any other top college better than this college. 2. This institute has a tag of national importance, which is a good thing. 3. The institute has a big campus area of 100 acres which is greater than many IIITs. 4. I wanted to take the Computer Science and Engineering branch which is one of the major reasons why I chose this college. Now, if I talk about why you should choose this college, I would say if you did not get any IIT/NIT with good a branch and you have interest in coding/technology then surely, come to this college without any doubt. IIITN has a large area of 100 acres but you should know that it is not yet built completely.

I have opted for Computer Science and Engineering in IIITN. This course gives a vast exposure about the technology field like web development, machine learning, AI, graphics, and many more. If you are an OBC candidate then you must secure more than 96 percentile for the top branch and for general candidate it should be greater than 97.5 for the same (this is the data as of 2023 admissions and may change according to the JEE Mains aspirants and order preference in JOSAA counselling).

Faculties are good and all are Ph.D holders. Most of them are graduates/post graduates from IITs or taught in IITs in the past and some are also from the top rated colleges in India. Some teachers have a very nice teaching style and teach with full dedication but some of them are not that great at teaching but have a good knowledge and a few of them only come for time pass. I like the way of teaching of Dr. Shankar Sir (Digital Electronics), Dr Preeti Ma’am (Mathematics), and Dr. Madhuri Tayade (Communication Teacher).

Placements are good with an average package of 14 LPA and highest package of 90 LPA. Various companies like NVIDIA, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Jio, etc. visited the college.

We have only one hostel till now which has a capacity of approximately 1000 students. Honestly speaking, there is shortage of hostel space in our college and the remaining students who do not get a hostel room on campus are provided a private hostel by the institute.

There is one administration block where admissions are done when you come to the college for admission after JOSAA counselling. After that classes also happen in the administration block. There is one academic block where most of the classes take place and labs are also there, for example electronics lab, electrical lab, robotics lab, DSA, etc. Infrastructure is very nice. Architecture is so awesome that when you look from a distance, the hostel building looks so cool. There is one residential block in the institute for faculties as well as parents when they come for the admissions or just to visit their children.

Overall, experience is good for me in IIITN. There are more than 1000 students in IIITN as of now (2023) and it will increase in the next year. There are many clubs in the college like Orators Club (for speaking skills), Dimension (for game development), Stroxes (for arts), Crescendo (for music), Crisper (for college problems and development), Pahal (for social work), etc. There are two fests organised by the college known as Abhivyakti (cultural fest) and Tantra Fest (Tech fest). Every year inter-IIIT and intra-IIIT competitions are conducted by the college where teams compete in sports. There are also e-sports in our college where different players play games and compete, and can win prizes. Prize pool is also there for the e-sports.
