Review of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela

Overall Rating
I choose this institute because of its diversity and very good equipped labs which are really good for research purposes. The professors are really good and teach practical subjects. The culture and everything over here is very good.
 

Academics Rating
The academics is very well taught. We have a perfectly scheduled curriculum of every semester and as I said earlier the laboratories are very well equipped with all the machines and lab material pretty good for research purposes and these helps to get more of practical knowledge of the subjects. But only one thing is there, must be 85% attendance, which is pretty hard to maintain.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is really helping and good over here. If we have any issues regarding academics or laboratories or anything the faculty advisors are present to help through it. Most of the faculties are not only professors but also well renowned scientists over the globe. They have a lot of research papers written.
 

Placement Rating
The placement scenario is pretty good in the college. The highest offered was around 65 lakh per annum and the average is around 12-13 lakhs per annum. Huge variety of companies visits our campus like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Some hostels which are new are pretty good and well maintained but some hostels have water and electricity issues. The hostel food is really worse here.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is really good. We have multiple sports facilities over the campus. Swimming pools, lawn tennis court, tennis court, badminton court, handball court, football field, cricket field, kabaddi court, etc. There are well equipped digital classrooms with ACs. The lecture avenues are also very good. Overall, I would say the infrastructure is really great.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is best over here. Only one thing I would dislike is the zonism happening around here but overall it can be neglected if you have good friends. Many clubs are there of different themes like music, acting, singing, dancing, coding, etc. which mostly bring out the productiveness from us and also helps us to live a good college life.

    In an overall view, my institute, NIT Rourkela, is a perfect university with an area of 1,200 acres including many more splendid scenic views and amazing water bodies. It also organises many events and fests like Cosmopolitan- The Multiethnic Fest, Innovation- The largest Technical Fest of Eastern India, Roots, Nitrutsav, etc. The environment inside the campus is brilliant and the atmosphere is clean....     It is a good experience to be a student of NIT Rourkela. It has good infrastructure and good placement so you should go for this and the difference is it is a reputed institute and offers better academic quality. Its academic performance is very good that you never get from another institute except NITs and IITs.     The overall experience in 1 year is amazing in this institute. I explored many things in small range of time. There will be many clubs that provide us vast knowledge. When I entered in NIT ROURKELA I saw there are so many things that provide us opportunities for a better career.     National Institute of Technology, Rourkela is very good academically as well as none academically. It has a broader environment. It has overall good people all around. NIT is good in all aspect like in co-curricular as well as non-curricular fields. So people generally prefer to study here for this above reason.
