A Review on Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

Overall Rating
This campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was my primary choice for colleges because of their active technical clubs in cyber security and open source. It is also a good place to have a lot of connections because of the number of foreign students and parents who visit the campus regularly. It is also a very spiritual place which has the ashram close by.
 

Academics Rating
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is famous for its academics and has a lot of faculties who has Ph.Ds teaching us. They also encouraged to write research papers and given a lot of exposure to increase our knowledge. They have taught us most of the basic programming languages by our second semester and have given more importance to project based learning.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculties teaching ME have a lot of citations for their papers and are well known in their community. My current mathematics faculty taught us using projects she was working on. Our EOC faculty gave us a lot of opportunities to explore our own ways to solve a problem. Even though the solution was provided later she encouraged us and helped us to find our own solutions of the problem given.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a very active Placement Cell in our college. They provide us with a placement mock interview at any time. They also provide us with special courses to improve our verbal skills and increase our confidence for the interviews. They also provide certified courses, to populate our CV for placement opportunities.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have residential facilities in our college. They have different sports complexes such as Football, Basketball, Cricket, Table Tennis, Badminton, etc. We also have a gym with a trainer to help us in maintaining fitness. The hostel is a 3/4 people per room. The only issue we faced was the food. The mess was pure vegetarian which was not to many people’s taste.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have a moderately large infrastructure at our campus. We have a separate building for School of Biotechnology and Business. Everyone else such as engineering, computing, and arts were in the same building. We also have 3 well maintained labs for practice. The campus also has a well maintained mechanical and robotics lab for making our projects.
 

Campus Rating
The college has a national level fest every year which has a lot of sponsored workshops that provide us with certificates. We also have a lot of technical and non technical clubs such as ACM, AMFOSS, AYUDH, and others. We also have SSR which is a student program management group which conducts events at our college.

    Amrita has always been a top premier university in the country with its high reputation. It has a huge alumni network and industrial experts across the globe.
