Review of Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai

Overall Rating
This College is one of the most reputed colleges in India and Tamil Nadu. It is a good engineering college which has many courses in it to choose. My dad studied in this college so I know about its reputation. I first wrote an entrance exam and then I got a decent rank and I even got scholarship. If anyone wants to join this college, I'd say go for it. This is a good college to learn new things.
 

Academics Rating
First we have to be sure about what course they want to pursue and then sure about it. The entry requirements are not much passing 12th is enough. The students are supposed to write an entrance exam to qualify and get a good scholarship in the fees. If you get a good rank then you will get a huge scholarship which will be helpful.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here is very well trained and professional. They are all highly qualified teachers and professors who teach in a friendly manner. My course is computer science engineering. The teachers are well qualified to teach it. They teach in English which is help for all students so no one has language problem.
 

Placement Rating
We do have a placement officer in our college who helps the students to get placed in good company and with a good package. They train the students since the beginning for getting a good package.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there is a residential facility in my institute. The hostels are very comfortable for the students. There are many activities to do like games, swimming, etc. even the food is good. It makes a comfortable environment for the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has a fantastic infrastructure. All the buildings are very artsy and beautiful. There are many blocks in my college and the area is so vast. The college library is the best part as it has centralised AC and the library looks so premium and every block is so spacious and good looking and comfortable for the students.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is really great. One can really enjoy college life here. There are students from all over India from North, south, etc. There are many clubs like singing club, dancing club, horse riding club, etc. There is a fest every year called "yarona" held every summer in our college. There are many events conducted once in a while for fun for the students.

    My overall experience at HITS has been one of the best in my schooling years. The reason I chose the college was because of its massive infrastructure and the course Aerospace Engineering which is very well known here. I think anyone interested in the same course as me should definitely consider this college even if it's far off from the center- Chennai as it will be worth your every penny, time and hard work.... The support from the accounts department is very bad. They will only see how to get more money from students.     'Hindustan University', deemed to be a University, is a spectrum of culture, excellence and success. I was an Undergraduate B.Tech student in Computer Science and was fascinated by the huge buildings and campus when I first entered the premises. From the beautiful architecture to the greenery inside the campus and the wonderful teachers, the journey of 4 years seemed less.
