Life at MIT-WPU Pune.

Overall Rating
MIT-WPU is well known for its college life, be it cultural wise or academics wise. Life here has been so much fun. They have a large campus with great infrastructures, many fun events, the faculty here is also good. In 2nd semester every student is required to do a rural immersion which the college arranges. There's like a stay in a village for 4 days which full of enjoyment. Talking about overall experience its really great.
 

Academics Rating
I'm studying BSc Hons Computational Physics. It's a 4 years course with placement and internships within the syllabus itself. The entry requirements for this course are 10th and 12th with PCM, PCB or PCMB basically Science stream. The eligibility criteria is of 65% in boards and an interview is taken before the admission. This course include engineering and modern physics stuff with coding as its base. It opens the door to the industry world as well as research world.
 

Faculty Rating
Teachers here at our school of physics are very talented and friendly. They all have their doctorates in well known subjects like quantum mechanics, nanotechnology, semiconductors, etc. Classes are fun to attend, even the toughest topic gets clearer within minutes of simple explanation. All the faculty members are encouraging and motivating students to do research and projects and score good marks in exams.
 

Placement Rating
We do have a placement cell at our institute, as I'm still in 2nd year of my degree we don't know much about that.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Talking about the infrastructure of our college every department or division has their own building with ventilated classrooms, high tech laboratories with all equipments are also available. On the hill we have an observatory used for astronomy observations. MIT has an auditorium for its cultural events. There are 2 cafes and 2-3 canteens on the campus.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at MIT-WPU is just FUN. In October we have our own entrepreneurship event known as RIDE where various researchers, entrepreneurs, designers, etc come and have a talk with all the students. DJ night, comedy night concerts of renowned music artists like Mithoon, madhur sharma, etc happens. Pune's biggest fest Aarohan is what we students at MIT are waiting for. The whole college is such a lively place. Something or other thing is happening here everyday.

    The University is really good and some of the teachers are helpful. They can help you in publishing your own research papers if you're interested. The clubs here are endless.
