Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology, Thrissur - My Review

Overall Rating
Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology provides an eco friendly campus. Nature lovers like the campus. There are mainly 3 buildings for studies and labs. There is a 'knowledge centre 'with a wide collection of books. All classrooms are well maintained. They give more importance to studies, not to extracurricular activities. Faculties are very friendly and have high qualification. The college is strict compare to other colleges in Thrissur.
 

Academics Rating
B.Tech in computer science and engineering is a core branch. Currently there are three divisions for computer science and engineering. For entry you should pass KEAM or JEE exams. If you want to get admission in merit seat you should have minimum 90% marks in plus two and also pass KEAM or JEE exam.
 

Faculty Rating
All faculties are M.Tech graduates and most of the faculties have PhD .All teachers having different style of teaching. Teachers also get various trainings. All teachers have their own ppt and handwritten notes for better understanding. Department HoD Dr. Manishankar Sir gave guidance to all faculty and lab assistance.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our college has a Placement Cell under the guidance of Vinny Mam. Every class have three placement representatives, they help to improve our skills.
 

Hostel Rating
There are 4 hostels, 2 for girls and 2 for boys. All residential facilities are good. They provide good food and infrastructure.
 

Infrastructure Rating
All buildings are well maintained. All classrooms are digitalized. All classrooms have proper lighting system and a ventilation system. All labs provide quality equipment. Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology provide Wi-Fi within the campus. There is a gym, multipurpose auditorium, knowledge centre, and chapel.
 

Campus Rating
I am not satisfied with the campus life. Our college didn't provide facilities for festivals. Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology gave importance to studies more than sports and other activities. This college is managed by catholic father so there are some restrictions. Playground is very beautiful.

    I will rate my college 7.5/10. Our college focuses mainly on academics. They don't give much importance to students’ soft skills like arts, sports, etc. Our college is one of the top engineering colleges in Kerala. There are 6 departments here; computer science and engineering, electronics and communication, electrical and electronics engineering, civil engineering, biotechnology, and biomedical engineering.     My experience in Sahrdayas Engineering College is very good. I am sure that my selection is the best because we know that it is a Christian management college and they provide enough freedom for arts and sports and they provide a large ground for sports activities. Faculties of SCET were outstanding and they are friendly and they conduct 2 internals in one sem so we can score good internal and good marks in final exam.     Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology is one of the colleges with most beautiful green campus in Thrissur, Kerala. Sahrdaya offers a variety of courses except mechanical engineering.
