Thapar - An Experience

Overall Rating
Thapar University is a grand experience, where you get to meet people from all over India and interact with and learn from them. I have made some of my best friends here and they too have learnt something about my culture. I am not from the North, so I got to see how people actually live in Punjab and enjoy their food, culture, and dances. I learnt Punjabi as well.
 

Academics Rating
Thapar has an Excellent curriculum, Classrooms, Technology, and a state of art Library with over 10,000 books. Thapar includes courses that other colleges usually don’t include in their Curriculum so that students are the ones benefiting and staying on top of their fields.
 

Faculty Rating
Thapar Faculty are at the top of their fields. Most of them are Ph.D scholars and have an excellent grip on their subjects. They are able to teach us in a way we understand. Very open with doubts and sometimes help students to go beyond the exam syllabus. Most of them are even heads of clubs to expand the minds of students.
 

Placement Rating
We do have a Placement cell in Thapar which is very active in sending us all the opportunities that we can get. They especially go out of their way to get companies to come to college. Companies that come for placement are Microsoft, Apple, and JPMC.
 

Hostel Rating
Our college has some of the best hostels in the Country, they are literally a 5-star experience all Air conditioned and have options for single or double seater. Best mess food by sodexo along with a late-night canteen. Laundry service is provided as well. Rooms are cleaned by aunties every 2 days, including balconies as well.
 

Infrastructure Rating
They have so many buildings and the best hostels with all the facilities one can think of, Computer labs with Mac computers, Stunning interiors, and Professionals. Best chill areas like Nirvana and Skywalk where students can enjoy, Greenery all around.
 

Campus Rating
Thapar has the best fests like Saturnalia where bog artists like Mohit Chauhan and Zaeden have performed. Urja sports fest with all sorts of sports competitions with participants from all colleges. Many clubs ranging from sports to tech like CCS, ISTE, EDC, Nox, Litsoc, GDSC ( google), etc.

    Thapar University, Patiala has a very good reputation overall. I personally liked it very much. The infrastructure is also very modern and good. The campus is also really beautiful.     Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is a top ranked college with a huge infrastructure. It is one of the best Engineering colleges in India. The placement rate is above 85%.     My overall experience in Thapar University was quite wholesome and quite new for me in the beginning. I've loved almost everything about the college; waking up early to get breakfast and going to the library to study (Nava Nalanda Library) or going for a walk on skywalk, I have liked everything here....     The overall college experience has gone really good till now. I am in the first year and I have really enjoyed each and every small moment that has occurred to me. Our curriculum is well structured and designed as per the current industry basis. The subjects from all the domains and respective branches have been added to make a basic understanding about everything.     My overall experience with this institute is quite good. Thapar University is prestigious institute that was established in 1956. It has a strong alumini network. Admission process is through JEE mains and boards percentage. There is no interview before admission. As it is a private college it has a high fee. Cutoff for CS branch is 96 percentile and 97 percentages in boards for general outside Punjab. It has overall good placements.... Read Full Review
