Underrated IIIT

Overall Rating
The campus of Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhubaneswar is a small campus i.e. of size 25 acres even though the campus life is beautiful and enjoying. Last was a recession year even though we got nearly 80 per cent placements in every branch. I didn't score good percentile and good marks in JEE mains and JEE Advanced so I have chosen this college because it is best one for my rank.
 

Academics Rating
The academics are very new and the infrastructure of the buildings is very good. They are equipped with unlimited Wi-Fi facilities. The equipment in the labs and workshops is new. The central library is also new with all the books available. We have scored an average percentile in the JEE Mains examination to join here. My main motive is to maintain a good CGPA and go for higher studies.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty who are working here are from Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar are very experienced. The Ph.D scholars are excellent in their field they teach with perfection but the major part should be studied by students only. The curriculum was relevant we will have some unwanted subjects like non-core subjects ( physics, engineering graphics and design, and basic electrical engineering). The scholars in the labs will clear all the doubts.
 

Placement Rating
The placements in Indian Institute of Information Technology are good enough. Some of the top recruiters are Dell, Samsung, Sapiens, Daily Hunt, Sankalp Semiconductors, Infosys, etc. The highest package is 39 LPA which is secured by a student in Computer Science Engineering. The average package is 12 LPA in Information Technology. The percentage of students who are getting placed is 94 percent.
 

Hostel Rating
There are only four hostels on the campus in which three are for boys and one is for girls. Each room consists of three students each student is provided with basic facilities like a study table, a chair, a cupboard, and a bed. The infrastructure is good. But sometimes the water will not be available in the hostels.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the campus is very good even though the campus is very small i.e. 25 acres. The infrastructure of academic buildings and the central library is very good. Those are equipped with air - conditioners. There are various sports grounds and a sports complex available in the campus. The campus is always maintained neat and clean. Medical facilities are also available in the campus itself.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is very good here because there are no restrictions the campus is an open campus. There is a restaurant available in the campus and a general store where all the things are available. The annual and technical festival is Advaita the annual-techno festival in IIIT Bhubaneswar. There are many clubs as well as NCC and NSS are also available. The seniors are also very helpful and friendly.

    Overall, this college has both advantages and disadvantages. It has a partially good infrastructure and good teachers. It has a partially well college life but in the end, you will enjoy every part of it. It is not like IITs or NITs so it can’t be compared to them but I expected the campus area to be bigger....     In my opinion, IIIT-Bhubaneswar is just like a normal college. Of course, it is under Odisha Government and has its own funding, benefits, pretty decent infrastructure, etc. But don't be amazed by the name international and all. Also, don't expect too much like IITs and top NITs. It was established only in 2006. So, looking into the development, it’s a good job done by the institute to adapt within this time span....     Overall Rating
    The institute has decent faculties and lab facilities. There are 8+ societies encouraging cultural, sports, films, art, and other interests. The total area of college is small but students are also less than other engineering colleges because our institute offers limited B.Tech courses as other IIITs. For students who got their percentiles between 93 to 96 in JEE Mains, this is a good option. I would advise students who are interested in coding this could be a nice option.... Read Full Review

    Yes it's a mixed experience till now but the first thing I want to say is the seniors are very good to us and I have made so many friends here. But you should come here when you can adjust and eat any type of food. You cannot even go outside to have something as there are very few options to go because it's located in city outskirts and the mess food is not very good.... Read Full Review
