Review of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sangrur

Overall Rating
I don't choose this college as my dream college or the first choice. I get this college in CSAB round. The campus life of our college is also very good. Almost every student in degree program is here is hosteler.
 

Academics Rating
The course curriculum of our college is also very good. The design of our course is very good it is very well structured. The faculties are also very good there except two or three. Labs are also very good in condition. In every lab we have two teacher there one is for theory and the other is lab technician.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are good there but there are some teachers who detained students for not having 75% attendance, which I personally don't think is very good thing. Because of it I talk about my experience I am having dealing with migraine with severe symptoms, and my maths lab teacher don't allow me to sit for practical exam and I have given all the reports also still he don’t allow.
 

Placement Rating
The placement record of our college is very good. Every year so many companies visit in our college. The highest package of our college is 18 LPA. Yes, we have a Placement Cell in our institute.
 

Hostel Rating
Same as every student my hostel life is also very good. But I have complaint about mess food. The quality of food given in our mess is worst. In hostel the bed and attached almirah and study table is provided.
 

Infrastructure Rating
As I said the campus size of our college is 471 acres. So we have a very big campus. We have a separate building for every branch. Each building is very good and very well made. Infact, few years ago a new building is inaugurated in our college for instrumentation branch which is very big. We also have a student activity centre.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is very good of our college. If students don't have their class they can go to library or digital library or reading hall. So many clubs are there in which students can take part i.e. cycleone, navrasa, mavericks, etc. we also have one social club which is much known in whole country named NSS.

    Overall Rating
    Overall, our college is quite good. Like other engineering colleges, it has some good things, and some parts of the college need to be improved. Campus is beautiful; all the amenities are fulfilled whereas placement needs to be improved. I choose this college because of the rank I obtained in the entrance examination. I would recommend this CFTI college to all students who are unable to make into IITs, NITs or IIITs.... Read Full Review

    Overall I would say this college is good. You may think the campus is in a remote location but many top colleges with huge areas are also in such locations. If you are getting it you can take it. But remember on-campus placement is not as high as IITs and good NITs have. You have to work a lot to get a high salary in tech jobs(not sure about non-tech jobs).     My overall experience of my college is quite good. It has very good campus which makes feel good. College has all the facilities from digitalized classroom, library to food and roaming areas inside the college campus.     Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is really a good college, the first thing I noticed after entering it was its large 150+ acres campus. Literally, like a national forest that has very large containing lakes, gardens etc. Then we come to the buildings which are too magnificent. It has departments such as Computer Science, Electrical and Instrumentation, Electronics, and Food and Chemical.
