Review of Thapar University, Patiala

Overall Rating
Overall it’s a good college. A lot of things to explore, lot of things to learn, and the teachers don't really hold back the students in doing what they want to. Campus life is a hit or miss really depends person to person. Good activities to wrap your head around and be engaged all the time. Excellent hostels.
 

Academics Rating
Good academics. Up to date curriculum in the computer branch at least practical labs are very well built to enable students to practice what they have learned in the class. Teachers are helpful and detailed. If you go after them after class they can share even more info with you if you're really that interested. Students also have research opportunities.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is knowledgeable and available most of the time. Almost all the APs are Ph.D holders signifying that they have research experience. Students currently pursuing Ph.D also help in teaching. They are friendly and help with whatever doubts we have with the questions handed in class.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is great. Everything is being updated constantly and has one of the biggest libraries in Asia. Really well built buildings and classroom for all of the branches and great. Labs ranging from the basics of mechanical engineering to highly technical Game Development Labs. Food stalls everywhere so students don't have to move around as much.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is great. Everything is available inside the campus and we have almost every brand outside the campus. Great Hostel life and the temperature are usually nice but it gets cold during the winter. A lot of things to do including sports. Various competitions organized by the societies present.

    Overall Rating
    Thapar University, Patiala has a very good reputation overall. I personally liked it very much. The infrastructure is also very modern and good. The campus is also really beautiful.     Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is a top ranked college with a huge infrastructure. It is one of the best Engineering colleges in India. The placement rate is above 85%.     The overall college experience has gone really good till now. I am in the first year and I have really enjoyed each and every small moment that has occurred to me. Our curriculum is well structured and designed as per the current industry basis.
