Review of Thapar University, Patiala

Overall Rating
The overall review according to me for Thapar is like it’s quite good and refreshing. Infrastructure is top notch and the campus itself is too beautiful, too many places to hangout, and have fun. The classrooms are also top notch with the capacity of 250 students, all modern facilities are available. Overall a great college.
 

Academics Rating
I’m currently pursuing computer science and engineering from Thapar and currently in 3rd year. My course is not as easy as it sounds, very tedious and meticulous subjects are there. For a student to be eligible for admission in Thapar, he/she can take admission via the cut-off scores of JEE as well as boards. I had some previous knowledge about the course so that also turned out to be a plus for me.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here can be better at teaching. The faculties are very well qualified with amazing degrees but they lack some teaching skills. They can’t impart their knowledge onto the students. Not saying that they don’t know how to teach but I am saying it can be better.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are very well in my course. The average package for my course is around 14 lakhs and 95% of the students get placed. If you really do have good knowledge, then it helps in the industry.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel here are no short of a hotel room. We have almirah, air conditioner, balcony, attached bathroom, study table, shoe rack, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure at Thapar is one of the best in the country. The labs here are modernised and well equipped with all the modern tools and top notch computers. Thapar’s famous Nawa Nalanda Central Library is amongst the world’s best library, and it true to its name. The library is amazing with 6 floors, fully air conditioned with a group discussion room.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is one that any student can dream of. A beautiful and large campus. Too many places to go and explore and experience. All the facilities are provided inside the campus so we don’t have to go out. Fest here is north India’s best fest. SATURNALIA, 3 day fest with some of the best performances with industry’s top artists.

    Overall experience at Thapar University is a mix of different emotions. One faces many new experiences and a change in lifestyle is definitely observed but the societies at Thapar University makes it easier for the first year students to have a smooth shift.     I had a really good experience here so far. Everything here is just like the way it is in the top government universities. One of the major factors that made me choose this university was its alumni network.     Overall Rating
    I am a first-year student at Thapar Univeristy and my experience has been actually good. My decision of opting for this University was good. The one and only problem with Thapar is actually the high fee structure but the teachers are good, seniors are really helpful, and there are many societies to join. The coding culture is surprisingly competitive and extensive. I also chose this university because it was close to my home making it convenient for me travel to and fro. You can choose this univ...
