Review of National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur

Overall Rating
The institute is very good. I have chosen this college because of Computer Science and Engineering department of this college which is very famous and helps to achieve a very good placement. The atmosphere of the college is very beautiful as it is very close to Himalayas. The campus life is very good here.
 

Academics Rating
There are various courses offered here in different branches of engineering. The admission in college is done on the basis of rank in JEE MAINS examination which is a national level examination conducted by National Testing Agency. Then JOSAA counselling is done to provide admissions in different branches.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty and staff here is very good. Almost every professor and associate professor is a doctorate. Their style of teaching is also very awesome. The faculty is very helpful and they help students in every aspect be it academics or projects or any other problem. They are very experienced too. Some faculties are here since the beginning of the college
 

Placement Rating
The placements of this institute is good with an average package around 10-12 LPA overall and 14-16 LPA in CSE. More than 90% Students are placed here.
 

Hostel Rating
There are different hostels for boys and girls or each year. The hostel facilities are quite good enough.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college is very good. In 2007 world bank declared it as best NIT in the country in terms of infrastructure. There are different buildings for each department and overall structure is very good. There are well furnished machineries here for various departments and also the overall appearance of the college is great.
 

Campus Rating
The college life is very awesome here. Being close to the Himalayas and a number of tourists destinations, the college life seems as a holiday. There are numerous clubs and societies here which are very good. There are two major fests in the college, one is Hill fair, the cultural fest and the nimbus, the technical fest of college, and also the sports culture is good here.

    In terms of infrastructure and architecture, my college resides on the top portion of our country. NIT Hamirpur is situated on a hill top of district Hamirpur and surrounded by a forest with old classically built building. The second thing which I like most in my college is the helping nature of the seniors and facilities towards the juniors.     Overall review for this institute would be that it has amazing facilities and it provides you best views of nature. The feels like living on a mountain also with modern facilities is awesome.     It’s my 2nd semester here and I am really enjoying here. It's was my dream to come and study here. The college life here is quite peaceful as it is situated a few kms away from the main road. The students here are very sharp minded and their friendly nature has made me to feel home here. There is every facility which you need in your daily life.     The college is very good and such a beautiful place that everyone should come and live a happy life like every engineer in NIT HAMIRPUR is living.
