Review of Silver Oak University, Ahmedabad

Overall Rating
If I say my honest college review then I can say that very bad. Like there are most of things that I don't like. Like there is no such thing as a campus in my college. The faculty in information technology course is not experienced and they just pass out from this college and doing their masters. In our course information technology, they teach theory more than coding practical.
 

Academics Rating
There are no entry requirements like you have to score high in 12th and then you got admission in this college. I get 50 % in my 12th and still I got seat. But I had to pay 10,000 to college for admission and I enrolled this program Information Technology because it was very high demanded and high salary job in now current market. I want to become Front-end Development so I join this course for experience frontend and other software technologies.
 

Faculty Rating
My faculty review is below average like their teaching style is same as 10 years old. They first teach us coding in classroom in boards and then in notepads in labs. The faculties are young generation teacher. They just teach us for completing syllabus. Their main focus is to complete syllabus before exam and they focus more than on lectures than lab for teaching coding.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, I have Placement Cell in my college. There are many small companies come in placement but not come big companies like Google and other big companies.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, I have residential facilities in my college. The hostel room is very small and in one room we share 5 people in room. In hostel canteen food quality is very low and cleaning of hostel is not well.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus infrastructure is not good. In my college we have total 5 blocks but in those block only two are in good condition.
 

Campus Rating
In our college the campus is very small. We have canteen called food court. Crowd is very high according to campus. Our college organised cultural event every year called Junoon and also organised sports events and other activities.

    Overall Rating
    Regular lectures start at 10 AM from 3rd semester. Each subject has lab sessions of 2 hours based on the lecture credits. The overall experience as a student has been good except few things such as Assignment allocation time and workload in the month of examination. We are given assignments of almost all the subjects before the Mid-Sem Examination which increases the workload and the festival holidays follows after mid sem exams resulting into more pressure during end sem exams....     My college best experience is free mind communication with faculties. Also all faculties very helpful for subject and feature technology. In this time new feature technology, conduct expert session for basic to advance technology and goals. In this campus upgrade old library to new location, new library, with new technology....     My overall review on Silver Oak University is average. When I come in this college they provide a good class and after my first year they send us to a block which is looking ugly. It feels like very bad experience in my college life because there was no such thing as AC and there temperature in Summer is very high so I avoided going college during that time.     I selected this university because it is located in a good area of Ahmedabad. The university is connected with the AMTS bus route, so it becomes easy for the students to commute daily. University has a maintained facility of computer lab and classroom so it's always helpful for studies. In the time of my admission I had visited many universities including Silver Oak University.
